Chapter 9: Childhood Friend

Riven's P.O.V

I changed into my white lace dress with short sleeves and went downstairs. There, I saw a picture of Rin Yukino and Kyoko Aisaka, my childhood friends. Aisaka is in the outside world, she lives with me... But, Rin... No clue where she is, or where she went. She just dissapeared...

"Where did you go, Rin?" I said to myself, like i do everyday.

Today, it's mother's birthday, and i'm finally leaving the outside world and going to Azeroth... I haven't been there since Rin disappeared.

But, since i'm going to the Kingdom today... I could finally ask father where she is.

I stepped into the portal I summoned to The Kingdom of Azeroth.

"Mother!" I called out to her.

"Dear! I missed you!" She cried in delight.

I went up to her and bowed down. "I missed you too... Queen."

She smiled. "It happened after Aji died."

"I heard. Elise, his wife, passed the crown to father. That made you too the new King and Queen of the Kingdom." I smiled.

"Yes, you know well." She grabbed my hand. "Princess."

I laughed. "As if! I was a Noble before, now i'm a princess? Errghh, I don't even want to think about it."

She sighed. "You never change."

"Isn't that a good thing?"

"Yes, yes." She nodded.

I smiled. "Well...Happy birthday."

She hugged me. "Thank you, honey."

I looked at her, smiling wider.

"I'm gonna go ask father a question." I said.

"Go ahead." She smiled back.

"Father,"

"Riven!" He ran up to me from his throne. "Darling... I haven't seen you in so long."

I smiled and hugged him. "Sorry, I was in the outside world."

"Earth?" He asked.

"Yes, Earth." I laughed.

He shook his head. "That place is dangerous."

"Oh, come on. I'm grown up, I can take care of myself." I smiled.

He sighed. "I'm sorry... I'm just... I really missed you, Riven."

I looked down. "I missed you too."

There was a silence for a while but I broke it.

"Father?"

"Yes?"

"Do you remember Ri-" I got interrupted by a guard.

"Your majesty, there's something for you!" He yelled.

"Ah-Riven, Umm, sorry..I can't...Ask the guard whatever you wanted to ask." He said and left.

"Okay then..." I mumbled and went up to the guard.

"Hello.." I said.

"What?" He asked coldly.

"Is that the way you treat the princess?" I said sarcasticaly.
