Chapter 30: Confessions

Rin's P.O.V

"Rin," I turned around to see Akise, shaking.

"Akise?" my voice filled with worry, "What's wrong?"

"I don't have much longer," he sighed.

"Akise, what are you talking about?" Akira asked, worried.

"The Soul Reaper is my father. I'm not even a human... He made me. I-I'm not real.."

Not...Real? Mother went up to Akise and grabbed his hand, "You are real."Why is she acting like she knows what's going on?

He looked up at her in curiosity, tears streaming down his face, "You're just as real as the rest of us. Just with a shorter life span," she smiled. "You have feelings, you have the ability to make your own choices now, you are a human."

His eyes widened and he stopped shaking. "I'm going to die.." he looked down.

"Why are you going to die?" I asked.

"He died. He is my creator, without him I wouldn't be alive. I'm a familiar, Rin."

"H-He? The Soul Reaper? You're a..familiar?" 

Deep breaths, Rin. This is too much to take in.

"A companion. We die without our owners..I don't have much longer."

My eyes widened, "But, you can't die! I came here to save you... not watch you die.." I clenched my teeth, holding back the tears. I don't exactly know what he's talking about..but..He can't die now!

He slightly chuckled, "Kinda surprised me there, too."

"No..You can't die!"

Wait a minute...

Akise, how did he make you?" I may be able to save him if I knew how he was made.

"He never told me."

"There has to be something you know! You have to know stuff about familiars, you have to. You are one."

He shaked his head.

I sighed and looked down. I have no idea what to do..I feel so useless. I come to save him and he dies anyway.

His eyes widened and he started looking panicked.

"I'm dissapearing.."

No..this can't happen.

"Akise...please.." I cried.

Then it hit me. All this time the answer was right there. I never even thought of it...I'm such an idiot. His body began to dissolve more and more every second. I need to do this fast.

 I began to form a  magic circle with black-crow ink.

"R-Rin..What are..you..?" his face had a confused expression. It didn't last long though. His head was dissolving.

I started chanting the spell. Remove the gift from the D.E.V.I.L, he needs no more of his evil charm, Banish from all light and shadow, collect the blood of Death and Eternity! Vastate Illusions Light. Remove his contract, set him free. I knew it all along. It was in my head this whole time... A familiar bound to his owner. If the owner does bad deeds he's a Death Eternity Vastate Illusions Light. Or the Devil as humans say. But, he doesn't exist. Death Eternity Vastate Illusions Light is a person who is evil. That's all. Not someone who lives in hell, or whatever. I have also been wrong about this world my whole life. This isn't Earth...It's God of Deaths "Average." He put us in this world to test us.... Azeroth was made so  he can test if when humans get spoiled what happens. To see If we'd become a D.E.V.I.L or a G.O.D.A God of Deaths apprentice was the reason he did all this. Humans ...were wrong. B-But,, how did all this suddenly come to mind? Is it a blessing? Well, whatever it is...This saved Akise.
