5 minutes earlier...
"H-hello?" I asked cautiously. Step by step by step I feared the worst, which kept getting worse. I turned around the corner and into my bedroom. Familiar territory. I jumped up and bounced onto my bed, causing a big creaking noise. Nice going Jane. You're going to get yourself killed. I quickly got off my bed, when my straining bladder reminded me that I was severely off my pee schedule. (Inside joke don't ask) This was not to be tolerated. When turning the doorknob of my bathroom, I noticed a weird dusty substance. I lifted up my hand and licked it. Hmmmm-mm. Cheetos... Continuing my waddle onto the cold toilet seat I heard a rustle. I flicked the switch to turn my lights on.
"Hey Sylvia! Why aren't you with mom?"
"Oh. I think they accidentally left me at home."
How strange? I thought.
"Well. That's weird."
"Yeah it kind of is. I just wanted to hang out with the big kids."
"Awwww. Well sadly all of us are dying, so yeah that's a problem."
"Yeah I heard some screaming. I wondered what that was."
"Yeah... So. Want to hang out in here with me?"
"Actually about that..."
"Huh?"
"I've been killing everyone."
"YOU WHA—" She put her hand over my mouth. Yummy. Definitely cheetos.
"Jane you need to actually shut up."
"Bshbsbsksuzgbs." She took her hand off my mouth. "But you are killing everyone!?" I said in a loud whisper.
"Not everyone. I like you. I'm going to give you a chance."
My hope clung to that word. Chance.
"Yeah?" I replied my voice shaky.
"You see you have two options. 1) you can run away and/or help me murder your friends or 2) join your friends and get killed."
Well thanks man. I thought. I couldn't just betray my friends. Suddenly, I had an epiphany. I knew what to do.
"Yeah I'll join you, just go on ahead." I whispered to her in the darkness of my bathroom. "Ok," she whispered back, "I'll see you in a second." As Sylvia left the room, I grabbed the blanket off my bed, and quickly ran to the closet where I knew Courtney would be. "Here Courtney." I whispered. "Oh hey anna." I said catching sight of my other friend. "Come on let's go." I pulled them up, out of the closet, but not before we heard a scream of "HELP ME!"
"GO!" I yelled running as fast as I could towards the sound, which happened to be my brothers room. There was Sylvia kneeling on the ground next to Madelyn and Kelly. "What is going on?" My friends and I asked. She was holding a knife, and looked up at me, and my two friends. "I thought we had an agreement," Sylvia said to me with eyes of hatred, "but I guess you don't care about that." She stood up and ran at me with the knife. "RUN!" I yelled at everyone, but mainly to myself as I sprinted down the hallway and into my moms bedroom. Bad idea. I was now at a dead end, cornered by my psychopathic sister. "Sylvia no..." I said as I backed towards the window, along with Anna, courtney, Kelly, and Madelyn. I continued to back up until I realized I was basically dangling out of the window. Ummm... We have a problem I said to myself. I slowly lowered myself, and grabbed Kelly's feet. Down we went, with each girl grabbing the other. I slowly landed on the ground, and took off running. I was getting as far away from this hell hole as I could.
