As I ran along the soft snow I couldn't help but remember that one moment in La La Land. Mia goes over to the band at that party and requests a song. I Ran. Oh, and I ran. so fast. couldn't get away. Then another song popped in my head as my heart rate sped up, my heart caught in my throat, and my legs began to turn to jelly. Let's get these teens hearts beating faster, faster. Let's get these teens hearts beating faster, faster. I thought to myself; at least I'm faster then Sylvia as I lost my footing and fell. OWWWW! I winced as pain spread from my mouth. I reached up and touched my- where my tooth was supposed to be, but there was blood instead. It gushed out, from my mouth and my knee. I tried to stand up and regain my footing, but the pain spread through my whole body causing me to go numb and collapse back onto the blanket of snow. What am I going to do? I asked myself over and over. I crawled over to the ivy that concealed our house, and laid down deep in the hidden strip of forest. I laid on my back gazing at the snowflakes falling lightly to he ground. The snow began to cover my body, hiding the fact that I was escaping death. I didn't want to look over at where my friends had gone running. I didn't want to see the destruction that would soon consume me.

A few hours later...
I opened my eyes, and immediately felt a burning sensation. All I saw was white. Then I realized I was trapped under layers of snow. I was frozen to the bone and too scared to move otherwise— I might die. I sat up slowly as to not create any noise, and surveyed the land. All I saw was the white of the snow, and hope that my friends were safe far away or sound asleep protected by mother natures blanket. I stood up, with my fear of death suddenly being gone and walked over to where the driveway should be. Orange specks dotted a path. Tiny, tiny orange specks that looked an awful lot like... Cheeto dust. The whole night, when Sylvia captured me replayed quickly in my head, as I remembered her hands tasting of Cheetos. I walked in my cold cold pajamas down the street, crossing over another street safely to my friends house. "Hi Jane."
"Hi Jane." Our names being the same wasn't weird at all to us. She surveyed me and ushered me inside asking why I was here. I said it's a long story and asked to use the phone. I dialed on my mothers number and hit call. I called her and explained everything that had happened that night and she told me to stay put and that she'd be there shortly. There in the chair my the phone I began to cry. Everything that had happened washed over me and took my heart with it as it receded back into the ocean. I had survived, but I'd never ever be the same.
