"Dyl you choose!" Cody yelled grinning, still overcome with drunkenness as he was still sprawled on mine and Dylan's laps.
"Ummmm," he glanced at me then back around the rest of the group. Most I realised scanning the faces surrounding the parties campfire, I didn't even know.
I haven't the foggiest of ideas as to why I had even agreed to a game of dares/spin the bottle. I hated the game and the whole fucking concept of it. It always ended badly, usually with someone pissed off or backing out and having to carry out a forfeit that was usually worse than the dare they'd refused. 9/10 it involved nudity or worse.
And it usually-
"Lola,"
Yeah, you got it, landed on me.
"Hmmm?" I mumbled not entirely sure of what had been said because I had zoned out again.
Big surprise.
"Yeah Dylan, there's your dare. You've gotta kiss Lola," Tyler repeated.
Oh.
Or I was nominated.
Now how'd you hate dares aye Lola?
Dylan met my gaze over the fire and I seemed to answer his unsure gaze that lingered on me, without even speaking as he stood slowly and made his way over to me silently. People surrounding us moved over and Tyler shifted too, dragging Cody's drunken ass with him so Dylan could sit next to me.
"You know you don't have to if you don't want to right?" he whispered so quietly only I could of heard.
"Where's the fun in that? I smiled not even realising how close we were until now, "Besides I never said I didn't want to?"
He bit his lip trying to hide a grin before closing the gap between us, his hands moving to my waist without hesitation and as he pulled me into his lap, my hands wrapping around his neck as a couple of people whooped and cheered us on.
You know that kind of kiss? The kind you are get in the soppy movies that people say is cliche and bullshit? The kiss that's always either in the rain or around a campfire that's so intoxicating you loose the ability to think straight? Your mind is so shaken that you don't know how to form a single thought?
That's how I felt kissing Dylan. Our lips moved together in perfect sync, tongues moving together so easily you wouldn't have thought this was the first time we had kissed. I didn't want it to end in all honesty, but I knew we both needed to come back for breath soon.
That and the fact if we didn't stop, although I knew I didn't want to, people would start hollering at us to either keep it PG13 or get a room.
I pulled back gasping for breath as i looked Dylan in the eye. He was biting his lip trying to hide a smirk.
He seriously needs to stop with that lip biting thing, damn that and his good looks are going to be the death of me one day.
I started to lift myself of his lap, choosing, even though I didn't want to, to sit back down next to him because I needed to regain my composure. I was 100% sure I was bright red and my heart needed to chill the fuck out.
But his hands gripped tightly at my waist and as I turned to look at him a frowned etched on my face he leant close to my ear.
"Sorry I just errr, kind of need you to stay here," he admitted blushing.
I bit my lip furrowing my eyebrows in confusion, "Why?"
"I errr kind of err," he stammered glancing at everybody else who had resumed the game not paying attention to us anymore, "Have a problem," he mumbled quietly glancing towards his crotch.
Oh.
"Okay Dyl," I chuckled quietly, amused by his nervousness to admitting his problem.
"Okay?"
"Yeah okay, I'll stay here and help cover your problem," I smiled and he exhaled with relief, "Besides I'm comfy anyway,"
He laughed quietly silently pulling me closer to his chest, so I curled up in his lap resting my head on his chest.
"Good because I kind of wanted you to stay here anyway," he mumbled into my hair.

"HELL YES THE SHIP HATH SAILED!" Dylan called out, his fists pumping at the air as he whooped and cheered.
"It did indeed," I laughed, finding his victory cheer amusing as a nurse came in.
"Hello Dylan, hello again Lola, it's lovely to see you again, you both seem happy," she smiled, her focus on a clipboard with medical notes scrawled all over it.
"Melinda hi! Lola was just telling me another story, it had the outcome I was rooting for,"
"Well there's plenty more of them to come Dyl," I chuckled, "Oh Melinda, is Tyler here yet?"
"Tyler?" Dylan frowned, "Oh yeah, my friend you mentioned, he's coming again today?"
"Yeah, he's coming to see you and keep you entertained while I go take care of a few things, he's got lots of stories too,"
"Yeah and they're a lot more juicy than yours Lo," an all too familiar called out.
"TY!" I jumped up, running over to him. My arms flying round him.
"Any change in, you know?" He mumbled quietly into my ear so Dylan didn't hear while he spoke with the nurse.
I pulled back and glanced at Tyler with watery eyes, "Nothing, the stories are prompting nothing Ty, I don't know what else to do,"
He sighed, a sad but deep understanding laced in his gaze, "Go home, do what you need to do, get some rest. I'll be here with him doing what I can ok?"
"Okay," my voice shook as small sobs overtook me, "Ty, we have forty three hours. Then our Dyl will be gone,"
"I know," his voice cracked slightly but I knew he wouldn't let it show. He hugged me tightly again, our silence speaking enough for now.
"I'll see you both later ok?" I smiled, wiping my eyes as I waved to Tyler and then Dylan quickly before leaving.
Forty three hours.
Was all I had left.
