They stood there, breath taken, no words formed in their minds, there heart raced, Valentine a man with no human emotions, a man who made them who they are now.
"Valentine is back, Clary's mother is in his hands, I do hope you can try your best to solve this, I can't do much here but from your experience I do hope you find a way out" Hodge explained, skin as pale as snow he went back inside.
The surrounding became more cold, Jace was the closet to him, thought of him as a father, she didn't, she never had the bond, he was always a stranger to her, not a father figure.
"Where can we start" Amelia asked while knitting her eyebrows.
Hodge let out a sigh, and shook his head, a low rumble of a laughter escaped, he walked towards the mahogany table and sat down, resting his elbows he looked up to them.
"I think Jace, you should inform the others, while I talk to Amelia here" it wasn't a suggestion for him, Jace nodded and walked out.
As the door closed, Hodge turned towards her, he cleared his mind and spoke.
"You're close to Jonathan, and don't act like you don't know who I'm talking about, your secrets are never yours, I do hope you never brought him up as a subject, you know where he is, but pretend to ignore" Hodge explained while standing up, "try the local coffee store, you'll see someone you always wanted to" he pointed his hands towards the door.
With no words Amelia run out and to her room, grabbing her coat she ran out of the institute. Few minutes felt like hours, her heart raced with hatred, questions swam in her clouded mind, she came to a halt in front of a abounded alleyway few blocks away from the coffee store. There, the slim figure, leaned against the wall, face hidden under a black coat, exposing the platinum blonde hair. He looked up, and for a few seconds her heart stopped, black eyes met gold, hatred nor love was exchanged.
He wore a smirk and pushed his head back, his jawline exposed, sharp enough to cut the innocence running in her veins.
"Amelia, long time no see" he whispered, the wind carrying it away.
"Seriously, after all this time, you come back acting like nothing, five years and you never came" she whispered back, looking up to avoid the tears flowing down.
He smiled, a frown hidden behind, he walked towards her, and wrapped his arms against her petite waist and embraced her into a hug.
The coldness from him was the warmth for her, his warm breath tickled her neck, she stood there, mouth gaping not knowing what to say.
"I'm sorry" he whispered.
"Very poetic you know" she whispered back.
A low chuckle escaped his lips, which made her laugh too.
"I'll kiss you but we're not together" he whispered.
"Touché" she shouted, with strength she pushed him away, losing balance he walked backwards, shrugging his shoulders he smiled. Light kissed his hair, reflective his silver light, a angel kissed by the cold.
"What now?" She asked, she took in a shaky breath.
"You're the only one who made me feel human, you know?" He said while taking his sword, it ignited reflecting against the worn out ground, in a sweeping acting he pointed it against her neck, a viscous ruby red bead of blood dripped down the nape, she took a sharp intake of breath and gasped.
Her chest heaved against the loose top, he enjoyed seeing her weak, knowing he was the one who made her feel strong, but he did know, he broke her heart for goodness sake, broke up with her and broke a promise, he didn't want to hurt her.
She took a step back and kicked his wrist sending the mental flying, he looked up and clapped his hands, plastering a smile and laughing.
"You learned loads" he explained.
"Why now, Valentine is back, you're working with him, aren't you?" She questioned him while hugging her torso.
He puffed his cheeks and shook his head letting his flowing hair fly, he grabbed her wrist and dragged her, the winding streets brought more streets, until they reached the building, worn out, aged by nature, broken glass laid on the ground reflecting the sunlight, almost beautiful if you ignored the unlikely scent of something dead, they didn't stop there, they climbed the worn out stair case, leading to the open roof, the sun was setting, colours bled, the wind kissed there skin, romantic if you ignored that a potential killer was next to his ex and ignoring the fact that anyone can die, I don't know maybe by falling, "accidentally" that is.
He rested his arms against the wall, and looked at the sky.
"Yes I am working with Valentine, but I need you to work with me, you know me better than anyone and I know you better than... yourself that is, you help me and I'll help you" he stated.
"And what is there for me, if you don't know I could push you from this building and watch you fall, maybe get revenge for the years you left me" Amelia sneered while rolling her golden eyes.
"About that, I do regret dumping you maybe we can be civil, maybe become a couple, what you say" he asked turning to face her.
"I don't know I might be seeing someone but maybe, I maybe do have feelings for you other than the hatred" she said, looking down at her worn out trainers.
"It's okay you're not the only one seeing others, I don't have anyone don't worry, but you on the other hand do" he said while looking at her, resting his back against the cold wall.
"So what I should say, "hey my ex from five years came back and now we're dating, it's okay I never liked you"" she shouted with sarcasm.
"Yes" he simply stated while shrugging his honey shoulders.
She shook her head and laughed.
"I need you, the old evil you, be on my side, power is key Amelia, you always wanted that, you've changed haven't you, where's the girl I knew" he asked with frustration.
"I don't know" she replied.
"You do know but don't wanna admit right" he asked pestering her.
"It's for me to know, and why you, why not someone else, why me even, not Jace, he's much better than me, you could of fell in love with him" she said kindly.
"Thought about that but no" he not back.
"Plus you know exactly why, you're not the sweet angel everyone thinks you are, gosh I wish I was like you, able to live with a kind family and pretend to be so good, an I hurting your feelings?" he lingered on while sitting on the wall, she was close enough for him, and kicked her in the torso, she lunged forward and gasped.
Grabbing a fistful of his shirt she pushed his fragile body backwards, she held him there half way to death half way to life, he smirked and laughed, the devil himself overtook, the golden eyes replaced by harsh black pearls, matching her loved one.
She pulled him back, falling to the ground she let out a harsh laughter.
"Don't tell anyone" she whispered......
