Restless nights she woke up to the smell of burning food, even in hindsight she knew it was Isabelle  everyone knew it was her, she can't cook and she knows that.

Someone was banging the door, the noise drilled through her brain making her wake up.

Moaning she got out of bed, she hissed as the sunlight hit her eyes.

It was the weekend, days in which she could be lazy and do whatever, but no she's a shadow hunter, being that means a lot of training and most likely killing demons in the mundane world.

She stalked towards her bedroom door and swung the door open. She met the blue eyed boy staring at her gold eyes, he wore a smile that bore into her skin, they forget about what happened on that day and did there daily business.

"Training" he said before walking off.
she puffed her cheeks and went to pick something to wear, there was nothing other than the colour black.

In the end she had picked her normal everyday training clothes, her leggings and black tank top, putting her hair in a messy bun, she ran to the training room. The coldness hit her, making her shiver, she noticed Alec standing there in boredom, waiting for her.

"Last time I lost to fighting this time I'm winning" he stated smirking at her.

No one else was here, only the two, it wasn't hard to beat him, it was child's play, walking towards him she struck at his face, striking again she was stopped, she was on the floor, her breath knocked out after that, she couldn't stand up, meaning he one.

He wore a smug smile while pulling her up.

"What does the winner get then?" He asked.

"A slap, I heard it helps" she stated while catching her breath.

"I was thinking of something else" he said while pulling her close.

He placed a kiss against her lips, he lifted her up and she wrapped her legs around his waist, but was soon dropped when they heard the two coughing.

"Children you can take the day off to enjoy yourselves, please not here" Jace stated with sarcasm dripping from his voice.

"Oh ha-ha very funny, let me count the times you done girls out in the open, oh look I can't there's too many" she stated while standing up and walking towards Jace.

"I have to go to Java Jones care to Join?" He asked.

"Why there, when did you start liking coffee?" She asked hugging her torso.

"Since the day my soul became dark and bitter" he stated while dragging  her with him," you'll see him later" he added.

Shaking her head she walked to the elevator, the elevator creek red with old age as it went down, it kept to a halt shaking the bodies within, she pulled the rust gates and walked out, Jace following her behind, the walled through dimly lit corridor and towards the double doors, pushing the door, she stood at the top, both in rhythm stepped down, skipping a few steps, the cold harsh breeze bit her skin, she walked for some time, cars went past, laughter echoed through the live city, when she stood in front of the familiar coffee store with the blonde headed boy, the aroma hit her making her more hungry, she saw the red headed girl, sitting beside the dorky boy, they were talking to each other, she walked in avoiding the bumps from others, she finally sat down and smiled at the two, Simon stood up and gave her a embracing hug, in which she returned to, Clary to did the same, at that moment Jace was not seen, only Clary noticed him, she was the same as Amelia, not the typical mundane, half way through drinking she placed the marble cup against the mahogany table, she noticed the angelic rune made with sugar dissolving in the frothy liquid, Clary got up and ran out, she most likely was following Jace.

Simon sat beside her ignoring calls from someone, it was non of her business to ask, they spoke for some time and decided to follow Clary.

Simon held the door open and Amelia walked past nodding her head as a kind gesture.

With his hands in his pockets he walked past Amelia, her walking was delicate almost as if she was never walking, that was something he always wondered about, always had the burning desire to ask, but was put off on the reaction he could get.

They heard few whispers coming from an open ally way filled with trash, they saw the two bodies shouting at each other, questions raised, Clary and Jace shouting at each other for no apparent reason, the two walking towards them had coughed.

Both faces turned towards them, Clary with confusion stared at Amelia.

"You- don't tell me- not possible, you can see him?" She asked confused with her words.

"Yeah I can, you're not losing your mind don't worry" Amelia stated glaring at Jace.

"Well you do seem like you got knocked in the head a few times" Jace said smiling at Clary.

She didn't return his smile.

"You two okay?, what are you on about there's no one here" Simon whispered while people stared at the three.

Clary was cut off when her phone rang, buzzing in her coat, she grabbed the phone and answered, placing it against her ears, it was her mum, she was about to scream when she heard her mothers broken voice.

"Don't come home Clary, stay with Simon and find Luke" the phone cut of before her mother could answer the hundreds of questions that swam in her mind.

"Give me your phone- she called you and you ignored her" she said while throwing his phone back, he caught it before it fell on the ground.

"You should calm down, we're coming with you, nothing bad would have happened, right Jace?" Amelia looks towards Jace, searching for words he could say to calm her down, all she got was him rolling his eyes and walking with Simon, she grabbed Clary'a petite arms and dragged her to her house.

They had ran all the way, all took their time to calm down, before cloning the stairs to open the door, they could smell the demon, the gone off smell that stayed in the back of your throat.

The door to the apartment was broken down, pieces of wood thrown in different places, glass shards glistened against the sunlight, canvases ripped up, paint bleeding on the floor, but no one was there, they stood outside pushing Clary and Simon behind.

Clary went in first not being caution, her screams filled the little space within, Jace had ran in first, leaving Amelia to hold Simon back, it was few moments when Jace showed the green flag, he fought a demon, the stench was there, Clary was pressed against Jace, as a child would have been when they were scared.

Simon stood their in awe, wondering what happened, he looked around the now torn up apartment.

"Now what do we do?" He asked, as dumb as a mundane he was there was no answer.

"Best thing we go the institute, it's safer, mundane you're welcome but for a few days that is" Jace simply laid  the rules, Amelia didn't say much and went with it.

It was a slow journey to the institute, how Clary was in shock looking at the beautiful institute and Simon asking why in a world is this messed up place home.

They always say home is were everyone is felt welcome, the institute wasn't in the mood to welcome anyone, by the looks of it.

As soon as they all stood in the cold corridor, Clary fell like a rag doll, it isn't easy being bitten by a demon.
