Ghost's pov

I can't believe how long it took us to notice Annabelle was gone. I didn't really notice anything until I heard gunshots on the other side of the house.

"Sir we should go find Miss Annabelle before she gets hurt. I doubt she can survive a bullet through the chest like we can."

She looked at me with what almost looked like compassion. How did she go from hating me to being friendly? Did Maxwell do something to her?
"Where's Maxwell."

She smiled again, but this time it was more familiar, it looked almost like... Jimmy's smile.

"Well Sir, I believe we can call this a job well done. Let's go get some ice cream to celebrate Miss Annabelle's first job."

Annabelle laughed.
"Toast, that is the best idea you've had since me not dying. Let's go!"

Annabelle's pov

As much as I disliked Ghost, a chance at revenge on my dad is worth a lot more than revenge on Ghost. I was even willing to put up with Jimmy if it meant getting what I had wanted for as long as I could remember, my daddy's name on a gravestone.

I knew he would get out of jail soon, and as soon as he was out, Ebony would let me know. I was going to show him just what he created during all those years of abuse.
