Annabelle's pov
They looked at me like I was crazy. Well, just Ghost and Toast really, Maxwell and Ebony both knew about this already.
"And why should we?" Ghost stared at me diffidently.
"Because if you don't I'll call the cops and tell them that you're Jimmy Casket and that he," I gestured at Toast, "Has be harboring you."
I smirked at the fear on their faces.
"I won't. But you better do what I say."Ghost and Toast exchanged a look.
"Alright. We'll help."I smiled. That was easier than expected.
Ebony smiled also.
"I love seeing you happy."I blushed in response. It didn't matter how many times she said that, it always made me blush.
"Which is surprising considering how incredibly heartless you are." Maxwell smirked.
"How did you-?"
He shrugged.
"I'm telepathic. But tell me I'm wrong."Ebony stood between me and Maxwell.
"Okay then, you're wrong."Maxwell just leaned against the wall and gave us a sly smile.
"Then why don't you ask her why she deliberately brought her brother to a place where she knew a serial killer was loose."Ebony glanced back at me confused.
"But you said the only criminal listed on your dad's computer was a bank robber.""She lied. She deliberately put her little brother into danger just for revenge."
I glared at Maxwell. Not bothering to hide the fact that he was telling the truth.
"Like you wouldn't do the same. You want revenge just as bad as I do.""True. But ya know what that means? You're Just. Like. Me."
I smiled again.
"Ya know Maxy, you're right, you're also over looking one detail." I threw Jimmy's knife at him, just barely missing. "If I didn't owe you something, you would have been dead a long time ago."Maxwell frowned.
"That was a mistake Buckshot."Suddenly I heard Ghost collapse to the floor.
"NO ONE TOUCHES KNIFEY!!! NOT UNLESS THEY WANNA BE STAB STAB STABBED!"Jimmy lunged at me and held me against the wall, grabbing his knife as he did.
"Well," I smirked, "This is interesting."
I pushed him away and spun around, positioning myself so that I held him against the wall, his own knife at his throat.
"And oh so familiar."He smiled too.
"Except I distinctly remember you being a stuttering mess.""Had to keep up the act. But now that it's broken why bother?"
The room around us was silent.
Toast spoke up.
"I knew I should have listened to Sir when he said you were crazy."
