Despite all the thoughts of Katniss naming her first child Primrose, Katniss only resented from the idea. She loved her deceased sister more then anyone, and having to call out her name every day only to see a different young girl come running towards her was to heart breaking. There were even some nights shortly after the war where Peeta would wake up to find her in tears because of the ones she had lost. She would quickly turn away, and hurry back to sleep, even though the nightmares would come running back. When their first child came along, she had gotten more of Peeta's traits. Soft blonde hair, but gray eyes like Katniss. For a couple days the child went without a name. Finally, shortly after the birth of the child she decided on the simple name of Samantha, Sam for short. It was perfect for the little blonde girl that acted just like her mother at times, but had the charm and beauty of her father.
