I remember when I was in elementary school.
I was 6 or 7 years old, and a boy in my class was teasing me, saying I was stupid because I couldn't speak Japanese that well.
I remember telling him that he was the stupid one because I could understand him speaking Japanese, but he couldn't understand me when I spoke English. He looked very confused.
My teacher was, is, a great man.
He's the kind of teacher that listens and talks to the student, and tries to fix problems according to the child.
So, naturally he tried to talk to us.
First, he talked to the boy, and after a few minutes the boy apologized.
I forgave him.
Next, he tried to talk to me.
My teacher looked like he didn't know what to say. He stared at me for a second, and said"Noise, what you said there had some truth in it. You understood the logic behind his words and made him see where he was wrong. But, in the real world, when you grow up, there are times and places where you need to think through your words, and what might happen if you say them. Being truthful is important, but knowing 'when' to be truthful is very important too."
My teacher was a very very clever man.
What he was saying, was that sometimes, sometimes you can't just say whatever is on your mind.
You need to think through the pro's and con's.
That, is call 'being an adult'.I've seen a comment section where a user said she 'didn't need to act like an adult' because she wasn't an adult.
She said she was 11, so it was fine for her to be 'childish'.Sweetheart, you came to Wattpad. You commented on your own accord. That means there is no mommy or daddy to come and rescue you, to apologize for the idiotic things you blurted out.
Ah, I see it now.'My mom never does those things! I can speak whatever I like and that's not because my mom apologizes for me!!!'
Child, parents are always cleaning up after their children.
It's when the parents are the ones making the mess, that is when the child is the one looking after themselves. You want to speak your mind?
Be my guest.
Just look around yourself first.
See if it's an appropriate place.
You don't go into a pride of lions dangling fresh meat from your body, do you?
Then why do you do it here?Use your brains people.
Show some proof that it's not filled with pudding.-Noise
