I've been thinking about this topic a lot since I take Japanese Political History classes, and sometimes I just wonder...

Does anyone not-Japanese even know or care about our history?
Or better yet, what's happening right now?

Russia, America, UK.
The daily news always has something about those three in it. Sometimes it's about the weather, sometimes it's about the election of somewhere, sometimes it's about a freaking dog that does hat tricks.

But when I watch BBC, CNN, or any other channel, guess what? I rarely see anything other than that country.

I wonder. Do any of you even know when or where the Great Earthquake in 2011 occurred?

Do any of you know how high the teen suicide rate is?

Do any of you know how long an average worker is in their company?

A few days ago, I was going through a certain rant book on Wattpad.
The user was talking about North Korea and its nuclear missiles and ICBM's and all of that.

Her words were something along
'The people of the west coast have to live in fear all the time, wondering when a missile is going to land on their front porch!!!!!'

Um?

The West Coast?

First of all, I don't think you have the facts right.

The missile launched from North Korea has only flown for 800km at most.
Are you seriously going on about the USA when MY COUNTRY, JAPAN is just another few hundred kilometers away?
My country, my people are living in fear at this very second and you're complaining about what?

Honey, your country has a military.

Mine doesn't.

You couldn't even write something about Japan in your rant?
Oh I'm sorry, you haven't learned world geography yet?
You have?
Take it again.

Sit down and actually listen to what the teacher is saying, rather than daydreaming about your school crush.
Listen.
Learn.
Be clever, not stupid.

Which is why I'm thinking of making a book about Japanese history.

There are some books about learning the language, (Though most of them have incorrect information spread out like butter.) but I've never come across a book about the history.

Coming from a girl got full marks on Japanese history in her Center Exams, I can guarantee you it will be filled with correct hard facts.

I'll get started when I have time.

Which is probably going to be a good while.
