Yes I'm talking about humanity.

Y'know how people mistake a Chinese culture for another Asian culture?
Or Japanese for Korean/Chinese/etc??

No?

Well they do. And since we all have the 'same faces' and speak languages that don't originate from Latin, Westerners don't have a freaking clue as to what we talk about most the time.

So they categorize us as one group.

I'm not complaining, yes my country is in Asia.
Yes Japan's culture originated a LOT from China, Korean culture comes from Japan And China.
Does that mean I don't burst a vein when I see something like,

"OMG I am SO going to China to meet geisha!!!!1!1!!!!!1"

Okay, one, Geisha are only in Japan. China does not have this, nor does Korea.
Two, You won't be able to meet one even if you wanted to, because the maikos walking in Kyoto are all tourists enjoying a 'dress like a maiko' experience. You have to have connections, patience, and time if you want to meet one. The only time I've talked to a maiko is when an OG of my high school who's now the owner of a very very old hotel in Kyoto took me their.
Three, they don't allow people who can't at least understand a little Japanese in their group.

How would you feel if I suddenly said "Tacos come from France!"
or
"Isn't Germany next to Spain??"

Yeah?

"America is that place where the people elected a freaking sexist racist chauvinist pig for their freaking pre—"

Oh wait, that's actually true.

How would you feel if I suddenly said that America and Italy were the same?
Or France and Russia?

Do your research before you start yakking other people's ears off.

Don't categorize countries when you're talking about a specific topic.
Do you see people saying Canada and America are the spitting image of one another?

I don't think so.
