Art Project {{Edd X Reader}}

This is kind of like a Highschool AU, so yeah, you're going to be a bit cringey I guess. *Shrugs* I have no idea what I'm doing at this point.

EDD'S POV

I sat in Art class, nibbling on the top of my pencil quietly. Today was the day our art teacher, Ms.Grave, was going to assign as a partner to do a project with. I nervously watched her skim down the list;I just wanted to be paired up with my best friends in this class, Tom, Tord , or Matt . Although, it looked as if the teacher had other plans. I  glanced over at my crush, (Y/N),hoping that I wasn't paired with her. It wasn't that I didn't like seeing her, it was that every time I saw her beautiful, (E/C) eyes, I melted. I stuttered, nervously blushed, and could barely function. The teacher started calling out names,

"Paul, you're with Patyrk."

" Tord, you're with Tom. "

"Jala, you're with Matt."

"And Edd......"

I held my breath, Please no, please no, please no, someone help me-

"You're with.... (Y/N)!"

I internally screamed, wanting to run down the hall way screaming, "NOPE! I'M DONE WITH THIS SCHOOL! BUH-BYE!" But, I stayed in my seat, with a bright blush on my face. I watched them walk over, with that bright smile that always made the butterflies in my stomach go crazy.

(Y/N)'s POV

HELL YES I GOT EDD AS MY PARTNER- AHHH-

Okay, I'm going to calm down. Take a deep breath and - BUT I DID JUST GET PAIRED WITH A CUTE CINNAMON ROLL!

I smiled brightly, walking over and sitting beside him. The teacher told us we'd both have to draw a picture of each other, with correct shading and everything. Also, she didn't just want your partner in the photo, you had to draw them doing something. Luckily, I had recently been practicing drawing poses. As for Edd? He looked very....red? More like flustered. I decided not to say anything, as the teacher said we should probably also try to get together after school to work on it, since you're partner had to be there while you drew.

After the teacher stopped explaining, I looked over at Edd.

"So, when do you want to meet up after school?"

He looked at me, his blush becoming a dark shade of red. I giggled a bit, I guess he isnt going to talk?

"Well...we can't really meet at my house since my (Mom/Dad/ Grandparent/Guardian) will probably kill you, because of how overprotective they are. Also, I can't do Wednesdays, Mondays, or Thursdays because I have club meetings.... Does today sound okay?"

Edd nodded slightly, as the teacher handed us our papers. The bell rang, and I waved to Edd.

"See you tonight!"

I walked up to Edd's house. It looked as if no one was home, since there were no cars in the drive way, the door was shut and locked, and the curtains were closed. I silently walked up to the door, knocking quietly. The door instantly opened, revealing Edd in his Smeg Head shirt, and some shorts. I smiled, as his face once again returned to the bright red color. He wasnt the best person at hiding crushes, was he? I giggled,

"Hey Edd, you ready to start our project? I'm sure we can it done early if we work hard enough! Sound good?"

He nodded a bit, smiling like a huge dork. He stepped aside, as I walked in. I was greeted my a smol kitten, rubbing against my leg.

"AWE MEH GOSH! IT'S ADORABLE!"

(Sorry if you dislike or are allergic to cats. It's just a one-shot bro-)

Edd smiled a bit, " ...H-His name is Ringo. "

I turned around and gave out a dramatic gasp, "It can talk!"

Edd laughed a bit, "Ummm... Y-Yup!"

After chatting a bit, Edd and I finally decided to get to work. I had decided to draw him and his cat, Ringo, sleeping on the couch, although Edd wouldn't tell me how he was going to draw his.

By the time we finished, it was dark, around 10 pm. His parents hadn't arrived home, which I assumed to be normal, and I had texted my (mom/dad/guardian) it was going to be a late night. (She/He/They) had replied that'd my dinner was in the microwave, and to have fun......with a wink emoji. I felt my face slightly heat up, glancing at Edd. I was beginning to get worried, for his face had been red the whole 6 hours I'd been here. I had already finished my drawing, as Edd quietly shaded his. After a few moments, he had finished.

"H-Hey... umm... (Y/N)?"

" Yeah? "

"I-I won't be a school tomorrow... so can you turn mine in for me?"

" Of course! "

I smiled, as he handed it to me. I gave him a quick hug, along with a kiss on the cheek, before running off so he couldn't react. Although, I'm pretty sure I heard a fanboy screech as I ran. After about a few minutes of walking, my curiosity started to get the best of me. I slowly opened the folder with the paper.

I gasped. The drawing was of me lying down in a star lit night, looking up at the moon hopefully. It was amazing, maybe I should have put more thought into mine.....
