Steven

The Nightmare

Pov: Steven

It was dark and I couldn't move my hands or my feet. They seem to have been tied.

"Hello! Is anyone there?" .....

"Its just me Steven." said a familiar voice.

"Who is that? I can't see you!" Then a hanging lightbulb turned on.

"You were gone for a long time, Steven" she said.

"Connie?! Is that you and what are you talking about?" Connie stepped into the light with her hand clenched.

"Hello.. Steven" she said in a dark mysterious way. I could now see what seemed to be Connie but it definitely wasn't Connie. It was like a darker version of her.

" Hey Connie! What's in your hand and can you untie me please? This is really uncomfortable! Amethyst probably did this as a prank."...... Connie said

"Pearl missed you." Connie said

" What are you talk-" just before  I could finish my sentence Connie unclenched her hand and dropped the broken pieces of Pearl's gem onto the floor. I could barely say

"Pearl?" without trying to cry. She began to speak again

"And so did Amethyst and Garnet" and then she unclenched her fist more to drop Amethyst's, Ruby's, and Sapphire's broken gems onto the floor. I couldn't say anything. I was speechless staring at the pile of shattered gems at my feet. She started to jokingly sing

"We are the Crystal gems! We'll always save the day.." Then the singing started drifting away as if she was walking away.

"STEVEN!!" She didn't walk away she was just right by my ear screaming my name.

"STEVEN!" Then Connie started shaking me. I then started to feel my eyes open and I saw Garnet staring at me. She then said my name one more time to make sure I was awake.

" STEVEN!!". She saw my eyes were now open and said

"You were sleeping for a long time Steven." I said

"I don't care!" And then started hugging her. She was surprised but hugged me back. I let go and looked around and saw Pearl and Amethyst were there waiting for me to wake up too.

"Steven we were getting worried about you!" Pearl said.

"Yeah man, you had me worried too!" Amethyst said blushing because she was scared to admit that she missed me. I nervously laughed and said

"Sorry guys. I just had a bad nightmare and I couldn't wake up for some reason."

"Well I'm glad your feeling better."  Garnet said. Just then, the screen door swung open. Lapis and Peridot were both standing in the doorway. They had worried looks on their faces

"Guys we did something bad!!" Peridot said .....

"We fused". A smile grew on my face. I jumped out of bed and ran down the stairs to hear the story and the Crystal gems followed.
