The Mac n' cheese

*Time skip*

Amethyst, Garnet , and I walked back to the Temple after it stopped raining.

"Whew!" I said as I closed the screen door after every one walked in the house. I turn around to find Pearl sitting on the couch playing a board game with Connie

"Hey Pearl. Hey... Connie. How was practice?" I said as I walked over towards the couch.

Connie said

"Oh. Sorry Pearl, but I got to go. My mom just texted me that she's here to pick me up. Bye guys!" She then walked out of the house and down the stairs. She didn't even make eye contact with me. I want to ask her what's wrong, but she keeps ignoring me.

"Pearl do you know what's wrong with Connie?" Pearl looked up at me and nervously said

"What's wrong with her? She's perfectly fine." With a nervous smile. I just decided to ignore her and walked towards the kitchen because I was HUNGRYYYYY!!! I opened up one of the kitchen cabinets and pulled out a box of Mac n' cheese. I said

" Who wants Mac n' cheese? I'm cooking!" Amethyst was the only one who answered,

"Me, Steven!" Pearl just shook her head no, and Garnet was leaned up against the wall. She looked like she was sleeping but I couldn't tell because of her glasses. I shrugged my shoulders and took out a big cooking pot.

*time skip - sorry I don't know how to make Mac n' cheese. I know I'm pathetic.*

I finally poured the cheesy yellow noodles into two bowls.

"Here ya go Amethyst!" I said as I handed one of the bowls over to Amethyst.

"Thanks Steven!" She said as she immediately began gobbling down the food.

As she was doing that I said

"And here's a fork." She ignored me and kept gobbling. I sat down on the couch and ate my Mac n' cheese in silence. I didn't want to break the silence because it just felt good to sit in peace. I finished eating my last bite of my food when I started to feel tired. I yawned and looked out the window. I saw the sun lowering in the sky and decided I should go to bed.

"Hey guys, I think I'm going to hit the hay." I said yawning.

"Alright Steven get a good night's rest!" Pearl said.

"Night dude!" Amethyst said. Garnet still looked like she was asleep so she didn't say anything. I walked slowly up the stairs and collapsed in my bed falling asleep immediately not bothering to change my clothes.

*time skip*

I was being shaken. Someone was whispering in my ear.

"Steven. STEVEN!" I slowly opened my eyes to find Peridot shaking me.

"Peridot what's wrong?" I said in an annoyed voice.

She smiled and said

"Me and Lapis are now officially in a relationship!" I smiled and said

" Good for you guys, but can you tell me more about it in the morning? I'm trying to sleep."

She said

" Okay Steven, go back to bed." And then she kissed my forehead and I closed my eyes and fell asleep with a smile on my face.
