The Rain

" What time is it?!?!" Sadie yelled at me. She had a worried look on her face.

"I don't know. I don't wear a watch."

"6:30" Garnet said immediately after I finished my sentence. Sadie was surprised.

"Oh..um...ok... thanks." She gave Garnet an awkward smile. There was an awkward pause between us all for a couple minutes.

Amethyst said

" Ok. Are you ready to change dude?" Looking over at Sadie.

"Umm.. yeah." Sadie said giving a big smile to Amethyst.

"....but where do I change? It will take too long to walk home and we can't go back into the store because that would be awkward. "

Amethyst said

" I have an Idea !" Then Amethyst shape shifted into a dressing room.

"Come on in!"

Sadie nervously smiled and said

" Thanks... Amethyst..." She then walked into Amethyst and shut the door behind her. We waited a coupled minutes and then Sadie opened the door. She stepped out looking more gorgeous than before. She shyly smiled at us. Amethyst then turned back into her regular form. Sadie then turned towards us and looked worried again.

" What about my shoes or my hair?"  We all just paused and looked at her .

"I don't think you need new shoes. You look fine in the ones you have now!" Garnet said smiling. I thought they looked fine too - but her hair... was just a big NO.

"Let me just..." I said as I walked over to Sadie, fixing her hair. We then heard a rumbling sound in the sky. The sky was now gray, not the light blue color it was before we left the beach house. We then saw lightning over in the distance over the ocean. I could feel drops of water rolling down my cheek. Was I crying, or was rain dripping down my face? It was rain. Now, pouring down from the sky, all of us getting soaked in the process. I looked at Sadie and she looked like a mess. After all that work we did. For NOTHING. ALL GONE TO WASTE. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to freak out on you like that. Anyways, I ran over to Sadie, summoning my shield to protect her from the rain. She looked up at me , mascara running down from her eyes. She then wrapped her arms around my waist and started hugging me. Woah Sadie. I already have a girlfriend. Just kidding. I know she was only hugging me to say thank you and because she was also crying and needed support. Garnet and Amethyst ran over to me and Sadie, creating a group hug.

"It's ok Sadie." Garnet said. The hug lasted a few seconds and then it broke apart. Sadie looked up at me, smiling now. Her hands still around my waist.

"Haha. Thanks mother nature!" She said looking up at the sky and then she let go of my waist and said

" He's supposed to pick me up at the Big Donut. So we should start heading over there." Sadie then walked out from under my shield back into the pouring rain . We all followed after her.

*time skip*

A few minutes later we arrived at the Big Donut.

Sadie said

"Lets go inside until he gets here." She pushed open the door and we followed in after her.

She said

"I'll be right back" and headed off to the bathroom. Garnet and Amethyst followed her to the bathroom.

"Hey where are you guys-" before I could finish my sentence Garnet said

"To help. No boys allowed." She and Amethyst then pushed open the door and walked in. Great. Now I was stuck by myself in a donut shop. WAIT. I'M STUCK IN A DONUT SHOP BY MYSELF! Wait no. I can't steal donuts that would be so wrong! I decided to just look around the store until the girls came out of the bathroom.

*time skip*

It was about fifteen minutes until the girls came back out from the bathroom. Sadie looked SO much better than before. Even though some of her makeup was smudged, it didn't look as bad as before. Her hair was still a little wet. Her dress was also. Before I could say anything I heard a *HONK HONK* come from the outside. I looked out the window to see Lars stepping out of his car. He ran over towards the door because it was still pouring outside. He pushed it open and shut it immediately. "Whew. That's a mess out there!" He said. He looked up and his eyes grew wider as he looked at Sadie.

"Sadie you look.." Sadie interrupted him and said

" Like a mess. I know. I got caught in the rain. I'm so sorry Lars. If you want to cancel the date... I understand." She said giving him a smirk. He grew a sad look on his face and ran over to Sadie, sitting on his knees, hugging her tightly.

"Sadie.. you look absolutely beautiful! And why would I want to cancel a date with a girl that I love so much? " He then began to cry into her shoulder. Sadie began to cry too. Lars stopped and began to realize he was crying in front of me and Garnet and Amethyst.

"Oh... I'm sorry guys.." he said embarrassed wiping his eyes. He then got up off his knees and grabbed Sadie's hand.

"C'mon baby. Let's go. " They both ran out into the rain towards the car.
