The Ship

"How could they-" I was interrupted by Peridot.

"They came down in one of their ships and took her," I noticed she was choking back tears.

"I tried to stop them but ... but.." And that was it. That was when I actually saw Peridot fall onto her knees and cry. I ran over and hugged her from behind.

"Peridot.." She looked up at me with tears streaming down her face.

"We're going to get her back. I promise."  I said as I looked into her eyes. She grew a little smile and laughed.

"Thanks Steven." She got up off of her knees and I did too. When I did, I started brushing myself off. I suddenly felt arms wrap around my waist. I looked down to find Peridot hugging me. Her eyes were closed and she was hugging me pretty tightly. She opened her eyes and looked up at me. I didn't know what to say or do so I just let her be until she wanted to let go. Moments pass and Peridot finally let's go. Peridot walks away from me and out the front door. I turn around towards Amethyst  and she was unwrapping her whip from around Connie's waist. Garnet said

"Should we bring her?" I didn't know how to answer. Would she wake and then turn evil or good? I didn't know, so I said

"Sure. Why not." Garnet nodded, put away her gauntlets, and scooped Connie up from the ground. Pearl put her spear back and Amethyst put her whip back. I waited for them until they were done and then we all headed out the door.

Moments later we all end up at the back of the barn. Behind it was a giant object covered in a sheet I had never seen before.

"Peridot...why are we here and... what is that thing?" I said.

Peridot didn't speak but instead, uncovered the giant object to reveal the Ruby's abandoned spaceship.

"The RUBY'S SHIP?!?!? How did you-"

"No time to ask Steven. Get in." We all obeyed her command and filed in the ship one by one. Peridot closed the door and sat down at the controls.

"Now, how do we bark up this puppy?" Next thing we know Garnet had unfused and Ruby ran up next to Peridot and said

"Move over. I've got this." Peridot was surprised by Ruby, but got up and stood by us. Ruby slid into the chair and began pressing buttons and moving levers. I didn't understand any of it. I don't know why, but now we just staring at Sapphire in amazement. She looked up at us and said

"Hello everyone."

We all said 'hi' in response.

All of a sudden I felt the ground below me rise. Peridot whispered

"We're coming Lapis."
