Steven

The Confusion

"Steven. I thought you were never going to come back." She was looking down at her feet. Amethyst was reaching towards her gem to pull out her whip but I turned around and said.

"No. Don't." Very quietly.

"What are you talking about Connie? Why wouldn't I come home?" I said in confusion.

Connie rose up off of the couch and was glaring into my eyes. She said

"Can I talk to you again, Steven?" Her right eye was a glowing yellow again but this time it was half of her natural brown and the glowing yellow.

"NO!!" I was taken back, even by my own statement. I would NEVER yell at Connie like that. EVER.

"What, Steven?!?!" She said in a harsh tone.

"NO! I am NOT going to talk to you again. Last time you slashed me in the face with my mom's sword. I'm not going to let you hurt me again." The Crystal Gems all gasped in horror.

"Steven, why didn't you-"

"Pearl, not now." Connie said. Pearl widened her eyes at Connie's response but decided to shut her mouth. Connie was now starting to walk slowly over towards us. She reached behind her back and pulled out my mom's sword.

Garnet stepped in front of me and pulled out her gauntlets. Pearl did the same, but pulled out her spear. Amethyst didn't step in front of me. Instead she pulled her whip out of her chest and began sprinting at Connie. Garnet and Pearl surrounded Connie while Amethyst thrashed her whip around Connie. Connie didn't look like she could move. I ran over by the Crystal Gems and watched her. I didn't know if I should help her or just let her be.

"Your surrounded Connie. Give up." Garnet said. Connie began twitching and fell on the floor. She looked like she was having a seizure. Then all of a sudden,  She stopped twitching and the light in her eyes slowly drained, till there was no more. The Crystal Gems looked at each other in confusion, and so did I. Before any of us could say anything, Peridot slammed open the front door.

"Guys. The Rubies are here and they've taken Lapis."
