The Cookies

I slowly started to flutter my eyes open. The sun was shining through the curtains and into my eyes when I sat up. *YAAAWWNNNN* I reach my arms up to the sky, stretching them. I take a deep breath in through my nose. I smell cookies.

"STEVEN!! GET DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW!!" I heard someone yell. Great. Another amazing day lies ahead of me. I throw the covers off of me and stomp down the steps getting ready to confront the yeller.

" Hey. Who in the heck was-" I stop my sentence and I wipe my eyes not believing what I was seeing.

"Oh hey Steven!" Lapis spoke. Lapis had on a white apron and a chef's hat. Peridot wore the same thing as Lapis but her apron had little green aliens all over it.

Peridot said

"GOOD MORNING STEVEN!! WANT SOME COOKIES?!?!?!"

"Jeez Peridot. You don't have to scream" I said annoyed.

"Sorry Steven. I thought that's how you were supposed to talk in the early hours of the day on Earth." Peridot said more quietly.

"I don't know where you got that  idea from. But it's wrong. Anyway.... where are these cookies that you speak of? And Peridot...  where did you get that apron from?"

Peridot blushed and said

"Oh I'm glad you noticed. My girlfriend got me this as a present. "

Lapis blushed and said

"Oh it was nothing..."  Moments passed and I repeated the question

"So .. uh... where are the cookies?"

Peridot said

" We put them on a plate in the living room. They should be on the coffee table.. if Amethyst hasn't eaten them all yet...  By the way there chocolate chip." She then winked at me and motioned towards the living room. I walked where she was gesturing to and saw steam rise up off of a white plate filled with delicious looking - and smelling , cookies sitting on the coffee table . Just where she said they would be. Amethyst didn't look like she has been here, so I picked up a warm cookie and took a bite out of it. My tastebuds were in heaven.

" I've never had cookies like these before! What's your recipe?" I said.

Lapis said

"Its a secret Steven." No, but seriously , I wanted to know to make sure that they didn't add  any dish soap or bleach in them. Hey - you never know.  Anyways , seconds later , I gobbled down 5 more delicious cookies in less than a minute.

"Aww. Thanks guys. That was so sweet of you to bake cookies! They were so good. You guys should open up a bakery or something!" I ran up to them giving them both a hug. They weren't pleased with me giving them hugs but, oh well. They deserved it. I decide to leave the two gems alone and head up to my room to watch some T.V. I pick up the remote and sit on my bed. I scroll through the channels and find that 'Crying Breakfast Friends' is on. I watch that for about thirty minutes or so, when I hear a knock at the door. I look down towards the door and Connie is standing there. Since Peridot and Lapis haven't really met Connie yet, I yell down

"Come in." Connie then pushes open the screen door and scans the room looking for someone.

"Hey .. Steven... Can I talk to you... alone?" I stare down at her wondering why she's now all of a sudden talking to me. I look down at what I'm wearing and see that I'm wearing the same clothes I wore yesterday.

"Hold on. Just give me a minute to change." I then roll out of my bed again and put on some new clothes that Pearl had laid out for me after doing laundry yesterday.

"Thanks Pearl." I say quietly with a little smile on my face. I then walked down the stairs and stood in front of Connie. Connie turned around and pushed the door open and walked out. I followed behind her. I have to ask her why she kept ignoring me all this time. Seconds after we stopped walking down the stairs, Connie grabbed my shirt and pulled me underneath the stairs so no one could see us. She slammed me against the rock of the mountain and started kissing me. It was so aggressive. I tried to push her away but she wouldn't let go. I tried to talk through her trying to kiss me.

"Connie!"

"What are you doing?"

" Stop!" I was not enjoying this at all. I thought our first kiss would be passionate and loving. This definitely was not. She stopped and looked me in the eyes

"What's wrong Steven?" She says in a harsh tone. I notice that one of her eyes is a glowing yellow and the other one is brown.

"Connie this isn't like you, what's wrong?" I said worried.

"Nothings wrong Steven.  Why didn't you kiss me back?!" She said in an angry tone.

"Connie, get away from me. " I said scared about what she might do. She got even closer to me then she was before and took out my mom's sword and slashed me across the face with it. Blood was gushing out of my cheek and onto my hands and clothes. I fainted from the sight of it. I fell to the ground and I started slowly opening and closing my eyes and I saw Connie walking away with my mom's sword dragging behind her covered in blood. I then blacked out.
