I felt bad for Pearl because she didn't want to eat anything and she kept staring at me while I was eating my pancakes. I asked her if she wanted some and she said no earlier , so that's her problem! Anyway, my pancakes were delicious!! But I was still hungry, so I said
"I'm going to go down to the Big Donut" to which Amethyst replied
"Yo dude get me a chocolate covered with sprinkles!!"
Pearl said
"Ok. Just be safe Steven!" Garnet just gave me a thumbs up.
"Ok Amethyst! Ill be right back guys! Ill be safe I promise!" I hopped off my chair and went through the front door and down the stairs. I walked around the side of the bottom of the hill until I reached the Big Donut. I pushed the door open and the door went dinggg. I saw Sadie standing at the counter with her usual work shirt on that had a donut on the front with a bite taken out of it.
She said
"Hi Steven! What will you be having today?" With a big smile on her face.
I said
"One chocolate covered with sprinkles and a strawberry covered with chocolate filling please!" She put on a glove and turned around. She pulled the silver handle to open up the door to which held the world's best donuts!!
As she did so, I said
"So where's Lars today?"
"I don't know Steven. That's a good question!" said Sadie
"That's weird Sadie."
"I know right! He's usually here early to see me come in that door everyday." Then she blushed. She grabbed me and Amethyst's donuts and slid them into a bag.
"That will be $2.99!" I pulled a 5 out of my pocket and handed her the money and she took it.
As I did so I said
"So not to be awkward or anything but... are you and Lars like a thing now?" She blushed and froze with the money still in her hand.
She replied
"Its complicated Steven. But anyway, here's your change. "
I said
"Keep it. Anyways I'll talk to you later!" She gave me an awkward smile and waved as I turned around and walked out the door. As I was walking back up around the hill I could see Lars in the distance with a tux on and a rose in his hand walking towards the Big Donut. He looked kind of nervous. I don't know what he was doing with a tux on and a rose in his hand but I'm sure it was for a good reason. After realizing he was holding a rose I said
" Hey! He's holding my mom!" out loud and I laughed a little.
