A little over an hour later they are back on their private jet, heading towards Wren's old hometown. Her nervousness is leaking into the bond even though she tries to keep it contained inside her own mind. Van grabs her hand, and pulls her into his lap, cuddling her close.

Gray runs his fingers through her hair, laying light kisses on her forehead, cheek and neck. Ian, who sits on the other side of Van, brings her feet to his lap. He slips her shoes off and massages her lower legs and feet until her toes curl and she relaxes in their arms.

"What has you so worried Angel?"

She sighs quietly then draws in a shuddering breath. "What if I can't control my thirst, or my wings, or my wolf? What if I expose a human to the supernatural? Wh-what if I hurt someone?"

They shush her with kisses and soothing touches. "Don't worry my Heart. You have shown remarkable control of your other forms."

"He's right Angel. Not only that but one of us will be with you at all times."

"What they said." Ian smiled, leaning forward to kiss her lips.

She kissed him back, then the others. They have eased some of her worry but there were still others. "What about the Council? Have you told them about me? About being a hybrid?"

Gray absentmindedly twirls her hair between his fingers, eyes lost in thought. "Not yet love. We haven't had any luck in finding information about hybrids. But you still smell human, so if you hide your other forms from them as well, they shouldn't be able to tell."

She pulls back the collar of Van's shirt, exposing the marks that she made. "Won't they see my claim?"

"Well Little Bird, as of right now they can be covered by our shirts, if they do grow up our neck, or anything, we will tell then that we think it's because you are the mate to all three of us. We don't want them knowing about you being a hybrid just yet."

Van brings his hand up to trace a fingertip over her soft lips. "Actually, it's just a couple of them that we are leery of. Patricia Elkton and Walter Johnson, they are power hungry and I have caught shades of deceit and greed in their auras. Unfortunately, it isn't enough to get them off the council. The others can be trusted."

Gray tugs lightly on her hair, bringing her gaze to his. "We will tell them that you are our mate. For one, because we cannot deny you to anyone. And another, they will be able to tell from our actions, and if we don't just simply come straight out with it then it will look more suspicious."

"Shit!" Ian yells out jumping to his feet and pacing. His thoughts were disjointed making it hard for Wren to decipher what was wrong.

He turns towards them, his face slightly pale, "We are so dead!"

"What? What is it my Ian?" Wren gets up and touches his face, afraid for him.

"Our moms will KILL us if the council finds out we mated before they do." Ian sits down, carrying Wren in his arms and snuggling into her for comfort. Wren smiles, thinking that he's joking. "I'm serious Little Bird, they will kill us dead. You don't know how long they've been badgering us to find our mate and start making some grandbabies." He shakes his head morosely.

Wren runs her fingers through his hair, and kisses his forehead, cheeks, chin and the tip of his nose. "Surely, they can't be mad at you for not finding your mate. It isn't like you can control when I was born and where I lived." She gives him a peck on the lips that he soon turns to more.

After a few minutes of comfort, she pulls back slightly breathless, and looks at the others. Their serious faces greet her making her wonder if Ian wasn't exaggerating after all.
