As soon as Wren enters the living area of their hotel suite she is practically dragged over to sit on the large sofa by the moms. Elowen sits on one side of her, Maeve on the other, while Aveline takes a seat in front of Wren on the matching ottoman.
The dads are all standing off to the side next several carts that had been rolled in while Wren and her mates were occupied in the bathroom. The scent of bacon, eggs, waffles and other breakfast goodies wafted from the trays as the men opened the silver domed covers. The dads start filling plates of food while the moms are asking Wren how she is doing.
Aveline grasps Wren's hands, "Are you alright dear?" Wren opens her mouth to answer but Van's mom Elowen has already started talking. So, Wren just gives Gray's mom a soft smile, and squeezes her hands gently.
"Oh Wren, we were so worried! You were quite pale looking when the boys brought you in last night. It's so good to see you up and about. You're looking so much better, such a lovely flush in your cheeks. Did the boys take good care of you? Are you in any pain at all? How's your day been so far? Do you think I'll be a grandma soon? I'd love to learn more about you. Does your family live in this area? Do they know about the supernatural? Do they know you are with all of our boys? Oh! We should all get together and get to know your family as well!" Elowen keeps chattering her hands moving with every word she spoke.
Maeve has her arm around Wren's shoulders, "Ach, Elly, calm down woman. The girl can't answer all your questions at once. Let's start with the most important one. Do you think we'll be grandmas soon?"
Wren is saved by the dads. All three of them come over and give their individual mates a plate of food. Locryn kisses Maeve's forehead. "Now, now, love. Let's not be pushy. We'll get grandchildren eventually we don't need to badger the girl."
Garrison sits beside Elowen, holding her close. "He's right. Let them just be them for a while. And remember, breathe between your questions."
Mathis lifts Aveline up, takes her spot on the ottoman and sets her on his lap. He nuzzles into her neck then lightly kisses her mark. He rests his chin on her shoulder, turning his bright, brown eyes to Wren. "Truly, how are you? Van told us most of what happened last night and we want to make sure you are alright."
Wren smiles at the men gratefully, "I'm okay now. No more pain or anything of the sort."
"Thank God for that." Mathis smiles too. "We are so grateful that our new daughter is doing well."
"We couldn't agree more." Gray says as he, Van and Ian enter the room. Gray and Van stand behind the sofa, each with a hand on Wren's shoulders. Ian goes over to the carts of food, loading up a plate full of delicious dishes.
Gray and Van go into more detail, telling the parents everything that happened. Ian comes over, plate piled high, and squeezes in between Wren and Gray's parents. "Excuse me." He murmurs, pushing the ottoman back so he can sit on the floor at Wren's feet. His mom glares at him but he doesn't notice. As soon as he's settled he puts the plate on Wren's lap. "Here you go Little Bird. I put a little of everything on there."
Maeve's icy stare, melts to one of love. She leans over, and runs her fingers over Ian's curly hair. "I never thought I'd see the day that you'd let someone else eat first, let alone actually serving it to them."
Ian blushes, "I love her." He states mater of factly. "She is everything."
Wren smiles at him, her heart in her eyes. "I love you too, My Ian."
