Chapter 35

Alfie's POV

I still can't believe this happened. We spent the night at the hospital with them but we are still waiting for them to wake up. They could've easily died. I couldn't sleep last night. I spent the whole night thinking about what could have happened. I am so grateful that they didn't die. 

"Alfie, you look so tired, you should probably get some rest" Zoe says.

"I don't need rest. I need Poppy and Sean to wake up" I reply. 

"They will wake up. We can go home for a few hours, I'm sure your mother and father won't mind" She says, trying to comfort me. I nod

"Only a few hours" I agree.

We go home and sleep for 2 hours. I woke up to a phone call.

"Hello?" I say.

"Hey darling" It was my mother.

"Sean has woken up, do you want to come back to the hospital" She says.

"Yes of course. Has Poppy not woken up yet"

"Unfortunately not"

We hang up the phone. 

"Zoe, wake up, Sean is awake" I say, shaking her awake.

"That's great, lets go" She exclaims.

We arrive at the hospital and walk straight into Sean's room.

"Hey Sean, how are you feeling?" I ask.

"Hey Alf. I'm not too bad, just got a headache" he replies. I nod and give him a hug.

"Now we are just waiting for Poppy. Does any one want a cup of coffee?" Zoe asks. Everyone nods.

"I'll help you" I say. She smiles and we both walk out of the room.

"She will be awake soon, Alfie. Don't worry" Zoe says, hugging me.

"Yeah i know. I just wish none of this happened. I want her awake now" I say, tearing up a little.

She hugged me tighter and reminded me again that everything would be okay.

"I love you, Zoe" I say.

"I love you too, Alfie"

"She's awake!" My dad runs out of the room shouting.

We sprint straight up to the room.

"Poppy!" I shout, running over to give her a hug.

"Hey Alfie, how are you?" She asks.

"Never mind me, how are you?!" I ask, excited that my sister is awake.

"In a little pain, but I'm okay" She says. The doctors said that both Sean and Poppy can be let out today, since they are both well.
