I heard a knock at the door and slowly walked to it. It's been another whole week and a half since I've heard from Josiah. After he told me how he thought he knew where he was, the phone cut off. It left me in tears knowing I was close to finding him.

I sighed and wiped my hand down my face before opening the door. I face dropped when I glanced at Josiah leaning on the doorway. His shirt was ripped and stained with blood. He looked pale as if he was going to pass out any minute. His lips were dry and bruised. His eyes droopy, he looked lost.

I watched as his blood slowly trickled from his nose and drip unto the floor.

"Josiah, Baby!" I ran up to him and jumped on him, wrapping my legs around his waist. He groaned in pain and I quickly jumped off.

I grabbed his face forcing him to look at me. "Tell me where it hurts? How'd you get here?" His face kept slipping out of my hand, I kept trying to keep his focus.

"Josiah talk to me, baby, what's wrong? " he eyed me before he passed out in my arms. I screamed repetitively. Everybody came running downstairs. Aunt Jay ran over to Josiah and felt for a pulse.

"Dad, call the ambulance!"

"There might be no time, we'll drive him!" He yelled picking up the keys. My mother stood there staring at him before she looked back up at me. "I'm going back into my room. I guess I'll meet you guys there." She waved us off and walked slowly back up the stairs.

While driving on our way to the hospital, Aunt Jay kept trying to calm me down.

"Aubrey, it'll be okay! He might just be dehydrated — or something. Think positive."

"Aunt Jay I can't think positive while my boyfriend is laying passed out in my fathers car, okay? It's hard to think positive when you can't even think of reasons that may have caused this, I wasn't there, I don't know what she might have done to him." I whined moving my hands in frustration.

"If only I knew what state or what city he was in." I continued. "I'd search every place, every inch of that city, just to find him. I feel like I failed him. He came back passing out in my arms aunt Jay. In my arms. He was so pale —" tear drops fell from my eye and I put my head in my hands.

Aunt Jay stayed quiet. I could see she was at loss for words and I didn't blame her.  "I should call Khamoi and Calvin. They're his closest friends. I might even call Tanya." I rubbed my forehead and took out my phone.
