Excuse any errors.

I love writing this book man. 😂✊🏾
Y'all just don't know the half of it.

In this town of Virginia at this time of night left a cool yet calming breeze alone, blowing through the streets.  "We fall down, but we get up. We fall down, but we get up." Joyce hummed slowly. She breathed in deeply before covering her mouth and letting out a fresh sheet of tears.

She shook her head side to side before wrapping herself in the blanket to keep herself warm.

Joyce was going to fight to keep herself and her family sane.

She wouldn't let anything happen to them and if it did she already had a plan for it.

She would send Chris to her sisters stable home until Joesph got a stable job and so did she.

She just wanted the best for everybody. Excluding herself.

She got off the chair and kneeled on her knees. "Lord, I know you can hear me. I come to you asking for your guidance through these tough times we face. You only can make a way, show me what you want me to do and I'll do it. I ask that you bless us, cover us under your blood. I wanna thank you for the food that we've been so lucky and grateful to have on our table. I thank you for protecting us as we come and go. I thank you for another day of life. I pray that you cover Chris the most. Bless his mind and keep him safe. Amen."

She breathed out and picked up the bills she was sorting through and placed them on the table.

Rent, cable, light, water.

Everything was weighing them down.

You see, Joseph just got laid off from a job that was carrying them along. The same week he was laid off was the same week the money for the bills were due.

Joyce picked up the phone and dialed the number she knew by heart.

Joyce's parents, Rodger and Lisa, were eating dinner together at the table when their phone went off.

"I'll get it."

Lisa walked off into the kitchen to get the phone.

"Mama? Daddy?" She gasped, shocked that they answered. Lisa rolled her eyes and pierced her lips.

"Who is this?" Joyce grew sad again. Lisa shook her head. She knew who it was.

"Mama, its Joyce." She stated picking at her nails. Joyce rolled her eyes at her mother's petty answer. She still petty after 5 years? For what?

"Oh Joyce. How ya' been? Takin' care of your family." Her mother put emphasis on word family.  Lisa didn't like the family one bit, she always told Joyce she could've done better.
