"I get lost in your love. I get wrapped in the words you say, I get lost in the love we make. I even fall hard for the games you play."

"I'm home!" I yelled using the crutches to walk to my room. I stopped and turned around towards the kitchen once the smell of food hit me. I smiled and sniffed the air deeply before exhaling.
"Momma you cook— hell nah. Pause. You ain't my momma." I frowned. Aubrey's mom stood there with a smile on her face wearing Momma loves to cook apron with a spatula in her hand. I looked back at Aubrey before I walked out the room. I turned around and walked back into the kitchen.
"Aubrey I could've sworn I seen yo' momma up hea' cookin' a family reunion type of meal in my momma kitchen —" I paused. My eyes landed back on her mother standing in front of me. "— she still here." I whispered to myself.
"Whatchu' doin' here, this ain't yo' house." I stated taking a piece of the corn bread. I made a face before frowning. Aubrey's mom turned towards me and I quickly gave her a smile, rubbed my stomach, and added a quick "Mmm," for effect. She smiled and turned towards Aubrey.
I quickly spit it out into my hands and threw it away. I went to go wash my hands in the sink. I went over to the fridge to get some juice hoping it would wash the taste out of my mouth.
"What are you doing here?" Aubrey asked her mom with her arms crossed. She stood with all her weight on one leg and an activated look upon her face.
"You know I never really got to actually give Josiah a welcome back present —"
"When are you going back to Georgia, you've been here for quite a while?" Aubrey questioned her again.
Aubreys mom stayed silent before she wiped her hands on her apron before she tossed Aubrey another smile. "I should go check on the macaroni and the barbecue chicken." She turned around and pretended as if Aubrey and I weren't standing in the room.
"Awkward." I sung chuckling. I walked out the kitchen to my room. Aubrey followed me with her hands crossed. I sat on the bed and watched her pace around the room. She was mumbling a bunch of words to herself.
"Yo mom's in there chuckin' them trifling, raggedy peas." I laughed. "You need to stop her before she invites everybody over and embarrasses herself." I was cracking myself up.
"Josiah it's not funny! Why is she even here, she needs to leave. I'm uncomfortable—" she rambled on.
I rolled my eyes. "Baby relax. Come here." She moved up a step. She was still across the room. I mugged her.
