chapter 30

I can't take much more of this!

"Here," Alex came back in the room and crouched down in front of me. "Drink up," he put the cup to my lips and lifted my head. "T-thanks" i said after gulping down the water. He turned around and put the glass on the table, "Wow! hay, i didn't know there was a radio in here!" he said happily 'What a weirdo' "Um, y-yeah, it's always b- t-there" I stuttered and he turned it on, hmm i know this song. "Ha, this song sounds real old," Alex chuckled, i think it's "Killing m-me softly" i spoke and smiled at the ironic song. "What?" he asked "T-the song, it's called killing me s-softly" he looked at me shock written all over his face. "How did you know that? the song is really old" i chuckled weakly at his statement and looked up through my bangs.
"COUGH! COUGH!" I went into a coughing fit and looked back down. "Hay,you okay?!" Alex said worried lacking his vice, I nodded my head still coughing a couple times before calming down. I looked back up and smiled weakly "f-fine" I said before coughing up some blood. "Shit no you're not!" He rushed over to me and crouched in front of me "cough! cough! cough!" I continued coughing and spitting up blood. "BANG!" The door swung open with a loud thud against the wall, someone walked in and yanked Alex away from me before walking in front of me and grabbing a fist full of my hair and pulling my head up. I gurgled on blood as it dropped from my mouth.
"Alex get out" I shuddered at that voice, that voice I know all to well, the one who brought me here. Alex hesitated but the man shouted at him to get out and he scrambled to his feet and walked out. I spent more blood out and the man held my head up, he chuckled a dark laugh and pulled something from his pocket. 'A blindfold?' He put the blindfold on my eyes and dropped my head, he walked across the room and picked something up. Next thing I know I can't hear anything or see. He put some kind of nose peg on my nose and I was struggling to breath. 'He's blocking all my senses!' Then he left the room. He just left me there spiting out blood and coughing with no sight or smell or even sound.

The next day he didn't come in the room, or the next or the next. I don't know how long I've been here with no senses and no food or water and I don't know when he'll be back but I want- no I NEED to get out of here! "Creek" the door slowly and quietly opened and I could hear quiet soft foot steps. I didn't have the strength to move but I didn't want to be hurt anymore! I bolted around in the chains and sobbed, the person put their hand over my mouth and took off the sound isolation headphones."shhh,it's okay" a sweet whisper filled my ears and I looked up all thou I couldn't see anything.

"It's okay" it sounded like Alex but I couldn't be sure, the person pulled off the blindfold and my suspicions was correct. Alex gave me a sad smile and pulled a key out of his pocket and inserted it into the chain, my hands fell limply beside me and I fell to the floor. "I'm getting you out of here, but we need to be quiet" he whispered and took off the nose peg. "Can you walk" he asked and I shook my head no. Next thing I know he's picking me up, he put his arm under my knees and the other behind my back, he grabbed my limp arm and pulled it around his neck then moved his hand back behind my back and lifted me up. "Don't worry you'll be fine" he said and started walking to the door, we walked through the asylum and to the main door. But he stopped "shit" he whispered turning around and into a random room "we're going to have to go out the window" he said walking to a window. He gently placed me on the floor and leaned me against the wall, he opened the window and picked me back up, I started shaking not because I was scared or cold but because I was in so much pain I thought I was going to pass out. Alex jumped out the window and started
Walking around to the back of the asylum. The window was on the ground floor so none of us got hurt from the fall.

Alex carried me all the way into the woods and out the other side to his house. He was a lot stronger than I thought, although his arms look thin there actually really strong and muscular. He held me tightly as he pulled out a key from his pocket and put it in the key hole of the door. Kicking open the door he walked in and kicked it shut. He carried me to the sofa and gently lay me down on it.

"Don't worry I'll get you patched up soon. But for now let's focus on getting you some food" he spoke so softly and sweet to me although he knew I killed people. He walked to the kitchen and got me a glass of water and looked through his freezer. He looked back at me and closed the freezer, picking up the glass he walked back over to the couch and placed it on the small table that rested I front of the couch.

"Here sit up" he said and put his hand behind my back helping me to sit up straight, he picked up the glass and placed it near my lips so I could drink the water. "T-th-cough" I tried to talk but couldn't. "Shhh, it's okay just don't talk" he said with a warm smile and put the glass back on the small coffee table. He grabbed a pillow and put it behind my neck so I could stay sat up right. He stroked my hair and smiled, why is he being so nice to me? He dose know that I could kill him at any moment!?! But for now I really appreciate the comfort. "Well my mom and dad won't be back for another five weeks so you can stay here till then." He's being so nice to me and I can't understand why. "Okay let's get you to bed. And in the morning I'll patch you up" he said and picked me up bridle style.

Once we were upstairs he sat me on his bed and walked to his closet. "Here it's a little big but it's better than some ripped up clothes" he said walking over to me with a large black hoodie. I mustered the strength to pull my top over my head and he slipped the hoodie over my head and pulled my arms through the holes. It was way to big, it went all the way down to my knees, although I don't really mind it was indeed very comfortable. "Do you want to take off you're leggings, it might be more comfortable?" He asked and I nodded my head. The hoodie covered most of me so I didn't mind. He pulled Dow my leggings and picked up my top. "I'll be back in a minute" he said and walked out the room. When he came back he had a glass of water and two paracetamols "take these they'll help with the pain" he handed me the paracetamols and the glass of water, I shakily put the tablets in my mouth and took a gulp of water. I wanted to say thanks but couldn't muster the words. "now get some sleep. You need to rest" he moved the covers and I spun my legs around and lay my head down, I winced in Paine as I lay down but tried not to let it show. He covered me with the blanket and was about to walk out but I grabbed his arm. Mustering up all my strength I tried to speak "p-plea- don't l-lea- m-alone" wow what a failure that sounded so weak and helpless. He smiled and sat down on the edge of the bed. "Okay I'll stay with you" he said with a smile and stroked my hair, I smiled still holding his wrist. "It's okay you're safe, I'm here" I closed my eyes with those words repeating in my head and drifted into a dreamland.
