"Come on Catherine, tell where Rhys is. you want to be a family again, right?" Avery asked sweetly as he held his wife's hands pinned above her head.
"No." She spat back, "I wouldn't tell you where he is, even if you choked the last breath from my chest." She began to squirm, fighting against his restraints.
He began to chuckle evilly, "Trying to fight back for once? Should I gag and cuff you again, my dear wife? Don't worry I'll take your last breath from you and you WILL tell me where my son is hiding."
"Fuck you, Avery. They know about you little plan to attempt to over throw the Alpha. So good luck succeeding now." Catherine sneered as shock registered on his face. A split second later he drew his hand back and smacked her with all the force he could muster from his human body. Blood trickled from the large gash on Catherine's cheek, once the spots stopped clouding her vision she stared back at Avery defiantly. "You might as well kill me, you will never get an ounce of information from me, Rhys is probably so far away now you would never find him."
Her every word further angered Avery, he twisted so he had her arms pinned behind her so he could quickly cuff her. Once the cuffs were in place, Avery pulled out a large roll of duct tape restraining her ankles first then to close her mouth up.
"Come on Catherine, where's that fighting spirit, now? Don't want to live anymore?" Avery pulled a picture from his back pocket flashing it in front of her eyes. "Take a good look, because it will be the last time you will ever see Rhys again." He snarled through his teeth, then kicked the limp body across the floor.

"A scent? That's it?" Rhys' temper was rising fast.
"Calm down, young one and let me explain." Ian said calmly. "The trackers have found her scent and a trail. at the moment they haven't seen or smelt any blood, so she is still alive. They seem to be on the move, hence the trail. Unfortunately the trail is about a day old."
"What's next?" Rhys interrupted.
Ian glanced over Rhys' should to see Ali looking toward the ground then brought his attention back to the young male. "Well I thought you would want to be here as we follow the trail."
"Yes, I do want to be here. But why Ali? She has nothing to do with my family." Rhys stated as he motioned over his shoulder.
"I was under the assumption that she felt at fault for you mother leaving, so I'm sure she wants to be here until we find her." Ian stated as he watched Ali hand behind sheepishly. "Allison? Do you want to be here?" Ali slowly nodded keeping her eyes diverted to the ground.
Rhys turned to face her, "I told you I was sorry, Ali. You shouldn't feel responsible."
"I'm going Rhys. Don't try to stop me, because it won't work." Ali walked pass him heading for a wooded area. A few seconds later a white wolf trotted out with Ali's clothes gently held between it's teeth. Rhys then too his turn in the wooded area. Minutes later, the younger wolves were flanked behind the Alpha, as they ran to catch up with the trackers and guard.
Rhys frequently looked over at Ali as she ran, she was just as graceful as a wolf as she was as a human. "Please be careful, Allison"
Ali glanced over at him, "Don't worry about me, Rhys. I can handle myself."
"Noses to the ground you two, we must be dilagent." Ian's voice rang inside their heads, they followed orders putting their snouts in the dirt. Withing minutes, they had caught up with the rest of the trackers.
