Hassan's point of view
"SYRA!!" I yell as I open my eyes and rise from my bed.
"Wtf Hassan? Kia hogaya?!" My roommate Talha, wakes up from my yelling and asks in shock.
He looks at me and becomes concerned. "Bro...you ok?"
I breathe heavily. And it takes me while to relax. "Talha. Something's not okay." I become anxious.
He hands me a glass of water and a small towel and I realize I had been sweating a lot on my forehead.
"Calm down man. You saw something in your dream?"
"Yes it was Syra....She-"
"That girl? The one you like? What happened to her?"
"Yeah her. I dunno man. It was weird. She was crying and she kept asking me to save her. I walk towards her and she falls from a height into deep darkness and before I can save her...she's gone. And as she's falling. She says that she hates me and that she hopes I never find peace and...."
"The fuck is that dream suppose to mean?!" He frowns.
"Dude, I have a feeling something bad is about to happen or has happened. I have to talk to her..."
"Are you crazy you can't contact her from here. Yar just relax I am sure it was just a dream. Nothing bad is gonna happen. Ab sojao, we have a long and hectic day tomorrow get some rest and lemme sleep too." He shakes his head in annoyance.
His words don't help me get relaxed.
"Hassan yar, kuch nahi hoga! Trust me. And if you're that worried, I will help you find a way to contact her, ab theek hai?"
My eyes light up when he says that and I smile. "Seriously you'd do that for me?"
"Of course anything for my bro!" He smiles. "Now for God's sake go to sleep!!!"
"Hahaha okay okay".
And Talha starts snoring into deep sleep in seconds. And I lay my head on my bed and think about Syra. I hope she's alright. And in her thoughts I close my eyes and go into deep sleep.
"BBBBRRRREEEEEEEERRRRR" The sound of the air horn startles me.
"GODDAMNIT!!!!" This is like a routine now. Every morning waking up to the sound of that stupid air horn and cursing them for not letting me sleep longer. Seriously 4-5 hours of sleep is not enough for a cadet who trains and works like crazy.
"Ugh these fuckers...." Talha wakes up annoyed.
And so it's the same routine everyday, get up and get ready for a day full of hell. Everyone loves the uniform but let me tell you. It's the most hardest thing, wearing this cadet uniform every single day.
I get annoyed everyday and Talha always looks at my expressions and says: "Welcome to PMA Kakul bro!" And laughs.
The academy is my home now. I have to spend years now here. And ofourse training is tough and hectic but staying at PMA has its own perks. From Ragras to running a thousand miles, to spending time with your course mates and to waiting impatiently for food and then dying on your bed as soon as training is over because everyday is tiring as hell.
