Hassan's P.o.V:
I can't believe they could treat Syra that way. I can't believe that crazy man even then, wanted to hurt her and infront of me? I know they will never hurt her again after what I showed them. They better not mess with her or they know what the consequences would be.
I couldn't control myself when I saw how ruthlessly he rose his hand at Syra. I would break anyone who would try to hurt my wife.
But I felt bad for Syra. I didn't expect things would go this way. Instead of fixing things I just hurt Syra more by forcing here to go there. But I had no choice. I had to clear her misunderstanding about me. And I guess in some way it was good that we went there because now I have threatened them to never hurt her and I know Syra will be safe in my hands now. And what more, I saw Syra's fear go away and her feeling safe with me.
That's exactly what I want, I don't ever want her to be afraid of anything, I don't ever want her to fear that someone can hurt her. I want her to know that she's not alone and that I will always protect her.
.........When we reach home, I notice Syra constantly lost in her thoughts. She goes to her room and I let her have some space and just take her time.
After hours pass by I go to check on her and she is sitting in the same place since I last saw her. She sits on a chair, completely zoned out. Her face is expressionless but I can tell that she is hurt.
"Syra?"
She doesn't respond.
"Syra!" I shake her from her thoughts.
"Huh?" She astonishes and looks up at me where I am standing close to her.
"Are you alright?" I ask gently.
"Uh...yeah." she says expressionlessly.
"What are you thinking?"
"Nothing..."
"You're hurt right? Syra it's not worth it, ruining your peace over them!"
"Yeah that's true...I am fine don't worry."
"Yeah I can see that." I say sarcastically.
I can't see her like that. She won't even open up to me. How can I make her feel better if she won't even talk to me properly?
I go towards the side table and get some water and think about how I can help her feel better, when suddenly something just pops in my head.
"Hey! Why don't you talk to that bossy friend of yours? I am sure you will feel better talking to her!" I smile at her.
She looks up at me instantly with shocked eyes. And she just stares at me. I am confused, why is she acting like that?
"She..." she finally speaks while shutting her eyes.
"She...what? And where is Haniya anyways? I never saw her with you. I mean remember how she used to come between us and take you away from me haha! How has that bossy friend of your's let you go so easily with me like that?" I laugh.
She stays silent for a while and is lost in her thoughts again. This time I can see deep sadness in her eyes.
"Syra? I asked you something. Why don't you talk to Haniya? Where is she?" I ask curiously.
"SHE'S DEAD OK! NOW STOP IT!" She yells furiously.
"What?!" I am left completely shocked. "What are you saying...?"
She takes a deep breath and when she calms down she says:
"Haniya passed away four years ago...heart disease..."
