Jimin's POV

You sat nervously at your desk, fumbling a book in your hands. Although girls surrounded you, you ignored them. For once in your lifetime, you were nervous when it came to a girl. She wasn't extraordinarily pretty, but she had a charm to her that you just couldn't express into words. It was a hardcover version of the book that had been thrown in the trash yesterday. Your attention was suddenly directed toward blonde hair that hung in your view. You looked up, it was your Charm classmate, Elizabeth Kim.

"Oh, you read that book too? I didn't know," she said sweetly, giving you the brightest smile she could muster. You smiled back awkwardly and looked back at the book again. Little did she know who it was for. When you finally saw Taejun enter the classroom, you proceeded to get her attention. But just like yesterday, she avoided you, sitting down in her seat in front of you without giving you a second thought. No matter how much you poked and prodded her during lessons, she paid no mind, walking off as soon as the lunch bell rang.

You tried getting her attention during lunch and gym as well but to no result. She continued to ignore you. Finally, you gave up, deciding to hold giving the book to her until later. Ending class, you tried finding her, she had disappeared. You asked around until you finally heard someone say they spotted her heading to the ally sect of the school.

Running to try to catch a glimpse of her form in the ally sect, you heard noises coming from the other side of one of the walls. Peering from your place behind the wall, you saw Taejun sitting properly as her head hung low. Her face and legs were covered in bruises. Standing in front of her was your classmate Elizabeth and a gang of the Charms in your school.

~

It hurt. The bruises that they gave you using their Charm power. But even with the pain that you felt in your legs, you pitied them. They could only use their power to seem stronger than someone else. Glaring at Elizabeth, you could feel a small smile form on your lips. You chuckled to yourself, finding this situation complete and utter asscrack.

"This bitch, she's actually laughing. What a joke," said one of the Charms that had beaten you. He used his skill, inverse, to punch you again. "She should be glad we didn't do more than toss that useless book into the trash."

At his words, you gritted your teeth, clenching your fists. You wanted to use your power but it you had to keep control. In the corner of your eye, you spotted the timidly hiding Jimin. Seeing him, you smirked. 'Just going to hide in the corner while I get beat huh? What a dick,' you thought. But it was the next words that set you over the edge.

"It doesn't matter whether the book got destroyed or not, the trash was where it belonged anyway," said Elizabeth, who had her arms crossed smugly. That was it. All the bullshit weakling forms of bullying had to stop. You were ready to kill her and her little gang at this point. Lowering your head you muttered something inaudible to them.

"What, you going to cuss us out?" retorted one of the Charms. Looking up, you gave them your most chilling stare before raising a finger in their direction.

"Explode."

The next moments were a blur as blue flames emanated from your body, blasting the area around you and those standing in it.  By the time it was over, you sat in the same position you had been in while the little "gang" of Charms laid scattered across the ally sect grounds, heavily injured.

"Teacher! Over here! This is where they took her!" you heard a female voice say.

'Crap,' was the only word running through your mind at that moment. Your body felt weak and tired, the edges of your vision turning dark. The last thing you saw before you blacked out was the face of that annoyingly handsome boy who stood by as you were beaten.

Waking up again, you found yourself in the presence of an individual hospital room, your worried mother at your side. You tried to move, but soon realized you were bound to the bed by chains.

"Mom..." you said, desperately trying to get free. "I'm sorry..." Your first tears in a long while sprung to your eyes. You felt sorry for your mother who had to watch you struggle like this. You regretted ever having used your power. Now having been found out, you were in the hands of the government.

Your mother gave you a painful smile as she stroked your hair in reassurance.

"It's okay Taejun. It was bound to happen one day," she said quietly. You shook your head, the tears now flowing down your face. The only words you were able to say to your mom at that time in the empty hospital room were "I'm sorry."

Jimin's POV( a year later...)

It had been a year since the incident happened. You were now a junior in high school and a highly successful idol. As usual, you had girls at your side. But all you could think about for the past year was the girl named Jung Taejun. After the incident, you had rushed to her side as she fainted into unconsciousness. She was then taken to the hospital along with the rest of the injured Charms and you hadn't seen her since. It was said that she was taken by the government into the exclusive league known as the HD sect. Highly Dangerous was what they called it. Charms who were taken into that sect never went back to being normal; it was said that they worked most of their lives in the league.

You went to sleep that day with thoughts of her in your mind.

Laying in bed with a sleeping figure, you couldn't make out who she was. Just like every other girl you had slept with, her face remained a blur. As she wrapped her arms around you and let her lips touch yours, you felt like throwing up. You didn't want to touch her, you didn't want to feel her, you just wanted to run away to a safe haven. Your dream then warped to a soft wheat field, where you lay in the lap of a girl you recognized the face of. She wasn't perfect, but in your eyes she was perfect.

"Did you have a bad dream?" she asked sweetly, her hands caressing the sides of your face as she looked down at you.

You shook your head and smiled. "I feel better now that you're here, Taejun."

You saw her lips part in a gentle smile.

"I miss you," she said, her voice smooth like the wind.

"What do you mean? You're right here, with me," you replied as you reached up to reassure her that the two of you were together. But as you reached up, she disappeared, leaving you alone in the wheat field, which was now a gray hue.

"Huh?" you awoke to reality, laying on your cotton sheets with no one in the room but yourself.  No one was there, no one had been there. You should've realized that it had all but been a dream when Taejun spoke so sweetly to you—she would have never done that in real life. But as you contemplated your dream, you realized that you missed her. You missed her witty remarks and foul play, even if she hated you. If you had stopped the Charms that day, maybe she would still be by your side. But she wasn't and that tore at you greatly. You lay in bed the rest of the night, thinking about her.

In the morning, you did your daily routine as always, showering, eating, then going to school. But as you walked to school, you realized that there was a way to see her again. The government. You were an idol, and the most popular in your age range, even the government took notice of the industry. You pursed your lips. This could work and it couldn't. But you had to try. You wished desperately to see the face that you had longed for this past year. You were going to see Taejun.
