Taejun's POV

"Wait, so what's your Charm again?" you asked, your eye slightly twitching when looking upon the young girl in front of you.

"Sword-wielding," she replied blatantly, looking at you blankly.

The girl had jet black hair with piercing blue eyes; the look of a stereotypical halfie. You brought your hand up to your temple and groaned, then using the same hand to comb back your short unkempt hair. It was your sect's turn to oversee the people admitting into the league claiming to be Charms, and so far, it wasn't going so well. It had only been days since you were released from the hospital and as soon as you walked into the league headquarters, they immediately pushed more work on you right away. Similar to the idol contracts held by SG Entertainment, a "family company."

"Get out," you said continuously groaning as you pointed in the direction of the door.

This was plain ridiculous. Overseeing these contestants was making you lose brain cells. There's only so many people in the world that can be this idiotic...right? Furthermore, you didn't understand why people wanted to join this league anyway. You could die, you're bound by their rules, blah blah blah. The girl tried to protest but you cut her off, done with the amount of bullshit you've seen today.

"I don't get paid enough for this," you muttered under your breath as you narrowed your eyes at the girl. You heard a chuckle from beside you.

"Correction: You don't get paid to do this," said Necromancer, about to burst into a fit of laughter. His cheeks puffed as he held a fist to his lips, holding back the noise occupying his throat. His response made you nod in agreement and sigh.

"First of all Necromancer, don't make me shove my hand down your throat and explode your larynx. Second, sword-wielding isn't a Charm; it's a skill that you develop. Now before you make me lose more brain cells, please. just. get. out," you ended, pointing towards the door.

Glum, the girl walked out and you flipped the paper to the back, finally done with your last admission form. Lining the papers in a neat pile, you took them under your arm before standing up and walking out the exit door, leaving Necromancer behind to do his paperwork. When you reached HD sect room, you were appalled to see Jimin standing next to BOSS, pointing at a piece of paper in his hand.

You raised your trembling finger to point at Jimin, your eyes wide with confusion.

"What is he doing here?!" you asked, your voice a bit too loud for your own good. He looked up from his paper, giving the usual annoyingly blinding grin. Did he have any other expressions besides that? You didn't think so. Eye twitching once more, you gaped at the young boy standing in front of you. BOSS looked up from the paper, bothered by your sudden increase in volume.

"I hired him," she said, dully giving a swish of her hand before directing her attention back at the paper again.

Your eyes bulged. When? Where? How? You wish you knew the answers but BOSS didn't seem like she was going to tell you anything more so you grudgingly sat down. You thought the league was the only place where you could be free of him but apparently, the universe wasn't going to let you have that luxury.

"Hired him for what?" you asked, trying to calm your inner demon down.

"Paperwork. You always seemed stressed by the fact that I push my paperwork on you, so I hired him," she blandly replied, eyes still focused on the piece of paper in front of her. You didn't know which you were more surprised at. The fact that she did care that she pushed her paperwork on you or that she hired Jimin to do the paperwork. Did he even have the qualifications?

As if he could read the expression that played across your face, he replied with, "Just so you're wondering, I'm perfectly qualified. You never realized at school, but I'm pretty smart if I do say so myself."  Hearing his words, you then reflected back to the time the two of you were at school. Was he smart? You never really paid attention because you thought he was annoying. Groaning, you gave up on protesting his position.

The good thing was that you wouldn't have to do paperwork. Bad thing was, he was practically around you 24/7...well, except for school hours. Hopefully, he wasn't ditching school to work here. Plus, he had his idol schedule. Wait a moment, how was he able to fit in all of this?

"He got a break from the company because of the incident. He'll be able to work here for that duration," replied Puppet Master, who was playing on his DS again.

"Why is everyone reading my mind these days?" you breathed out.

"You're too obvious, just like Necromancer's obvious love for that pink apron. He says he hates it, but he always wears it anyway."

"True," you stated, leaning back in your seat. These days, you always felt tired, like you wanted to sleep. It would be obvious since you didn't sleep much these days. You felt like you were in a slave contract with the league. Closing your eyes, you felt a cloth be wrapped around you. Although your eyes were closed, you knew that it was Jimin. That presence couldn't be mistaken for anyone else.

Ever since you two reconciled at the hospital. You felt yourself disliking his personality less and less. It wasn't his betrayal that was the problem anymore. He was still clingy and wouldn't give up on trying to get the two of you together. But he did nice things for you and probably cared about you more than most people did. Or at least how you felt most people did.

"Sleep tight, Taejun," he said as he patted the blanket a bit before going back to his work. You could hear PM making barfing sounds in the background while BOSS chuckled to herself. Crap. You could feel yourself disliking his ways less and less. "This is just a weird phase," you thought to yourself. But what was this strange feeling taking hold of you?

Sorry, I've been having a bit of a writer's block. I'll be sure to try to make the next chapter longer if I can. ^ ^
