"Siraulo ka ba?! Anong susunod ang sinasabi mo? Sa'yo na yang tubig na yan." Nanggigigil kong sigaw sa kanya habang namumula.
Agad kong ibinaling ang mukha ko sa kabila at bahagyang tinakpan ang aking mukha.
I faced Janine and she smiled at me.
"So, how's this so-called indirect kiss, cous? Hmm?" She asked her cousin, while looking intently at me, probably studying my reaction.
I heard his gentle laugh. I didn't look at him, afterall, I'm too flustered right now to even face him.
I looked at Janine who is now looking at Blake. I saw how she smiled, as if her cousin is telling him something funny. I was urged to look at him, but I restrained myself.
Shortly after, our professor came. He started the lecture and the whole class listened carefully.
After almost an hour of lecture, I can already feel my neck aching. Nakapako na yung tingin ko sa harap, or kung babaling man ako, sa side ni Janine lang yun.
I was already tempted to look at Blake's side, to enjoy the serenity that the view on the field offers me.
Lumingon ako sa banda niya, only to be greeted by his eyes. He is staring intently at me all the damn time.
I glared at him.
"Makinig ka nga kay sir. Kung saan-saan ka tumitingin, andun siya sa harap." I said in a very low voice, enough for the two of us to hear.
"Nakikinig naman ako, ah? Masama ba kung mas naa-absorb ko yung lessons pag sayo ako nakatingin?" He said in an equally low voice.
"Yes. Lalo na kapag nagiging uncomfortable na yung ibang tao." It's too late ng ma-realize kong inamin kong uncomfortable nga ako sa titig niya.
He smiled at what I said.
"So, you get uncomfortable in my gaze, huh?" He said, grinning.
"Yes, and that's because you look like a stalker. Creepy." I emphasized the last word by rolling my eyes.
He laughed loudly that the whole class looked at him. I played innocent. I immediately shifted my gaze to our teacher standing in front.
Our teachers lips pursed in a grim line. Mukhang nagalit yata.
"What's funny, Mr. Cortez?" Malumanay niyang tanong. And I think he is really angry.
"Sir, I think kinilig lang yung pinsan ko. Pansin ko kasi, kanina pa sila nagbubulungan ni Hope." My eyes widened at what Janine said.
"Oh, really? As much as I want to witness young peoples' love, we still have a topic to discuss. Control that kilig Mr. Cortez." Our teacher said, smiling.
"Yes, sir." Blake answered, at the same time nodding his head.
His statement seemed like a confirmation na kinilig nga siya that's why our classmates laughed.
"Uyyyyy."
"Enebe."
"Lume-level up."
"Si James, kinilig."
"Ginalingan ni Hope, eh."
Those were the words that can be heard in the room. Our teacher stopped the lecture and laughed with them.
The whole class was in chaos when the bell rang. End of our first class. It took some time before all the noise subsided.
Maliban sa panaka-nakang pang-iinis ni Blake sa akin, my day ended well.
My last class just ended and I already texted Shaira, para makauwi na kami.
When I saw her waving at me, I smiled at her.
"Mabuti maagang nag-dismiss si maam. Whew. Na-drain na yata yung utak ko." Ratrat agad niya ang sumalubong sa akin.
I tapped her shoulder at sinakyan na lang ang kabaliwan niya.
"It's okay. You can get throught it." Madrama kong sabi sa kanya.
"I really hope I can." Then she started her fake sobs.
"Oh, my poor bestfriend. Okay, to power you up, here's my power hug." I said, enveloping her in a tight hug.
"I'm okay now. Thanks for the super hug." She said, smiling at me.
After eating, we both scanned our notes, while watching the television.
Morning came and we both prepared for school.
Shaira said.
I asked her.
"Share na lang tayo. Di ko mahanap payong ko, eh." Natatawa niyang turan.
"Okay."
"Copy. Bye best." I waved at her.
I don't think the rain would stop soon. Tiningala ko ang makulimlim na langit. Ang kakapal pa rin ng mga ulap. I think it will rain 'till evening.
When I settled on my chair, I browsed the net.
Blake entered the room together with Janine. He immediately smiled at me, as well as Janine. I smiled at the both of them.
"Ang ginaw. Mabuti na lang ngumiti ka, Hope, medyo nabawasan ang lamig." Blake playfully said.
"Anong konek ng ngiti ko sa lamig, aber?"
"Cause your smile is so warm." He grinned.
"Corny." I rolled my eyes at him.
I noticed he is shivering in cold. Mukhang nabasa yung right na bahagi ng katawan niya. Janine is on his left side so he probably shielded her well from the rain.
"Giniginaw ka ba talaga?" I asked him.
"Okay lang ako. Concern ka na sa akin, eh."
I slapped his arm and felt he is really cold.
"May jacket ako dito, gusto mong isuot? Malaki sakin to, kaya kakasya naman siguro sayo."
"Hindi na. Isuot mo na yan, baka lamigin ka pa. Okay lang ako." He sneezed.
"Okay ka pa sa lagay na yan, ah? Here, put it on."
"Di ka ba giniginaw? Mas okay nang ako ang ginawin, hindi lang ikaw." He said, sneezing again.
"Mas kailangan mo to, okay lang ako no." I gave him the jacket. He looked at me one more time, probably asking for assurance. I nodded at him.
He put the jacket on at medyo fit sa kanya.
Yes, I still have that kind of jacket. Childish man tingnan, eh ano, sa paborito ko sila, eh.
My mom always said I look childish in them, then why the hell does Blake look so cute and 'effin hot in those jacket?
