23. Future Girlfriend

I'm still sporting that 'slightly hurt' look kahit habang papunta na kami sa classroom. Shaira just smiled sadly at me before continuing to walk towards their classroom.

Nang makatalikod na siya, nangingiti na lang akong pumasok. Shaira and her occasional naivety.

Papasok pa lang ako ng classroom, umarangkada na sa pagtibok yung puso ko. Shit. Nakita mo lang na nakangiti si Blake, naha-hyper ka na?

Pinilit kong maging kalmado habang lumalapit sa kanya. I'm exerting too much effort because my knees are already weak.

"Good morning, baby."

"G-Good morning, Blake."

"How's the weekend?" His sexy smile is driving my heart crazy.

"It's okay. Same old, same new." Maliban sa part na manliligaw na kita! Because of that thought, my lips automatically stretched sideways.

"Good for you. It's not really good for me, I guess."

I was worried because of what he said. Did something happen on their home over the weekend?

"What's wrong? Did something happen?"

"No, it's not like that. It's just that I miss you so bad."

I rolled my eyes at him, pero yung puso ko nagba-back flip na yata.

"Umagang-umaga nagpapaka-cheesy ka na, couz? Kinikilabutan ako." Si Janine habang papaupo sa tabi namin, habang nginingitian ako. He faced Blake at nginisihan niya ito ng nakakaloko. "Congratulations. Sa nakikita ko, graduate ka na sa Torpe University."

Nangunot ang noo ni Blake dahil sa sinabi ni Janine.

"Ikaw naman, ang aga-aga nang-aalaska ka na."

"Eh ang aga-aga dumidiskarte ka na diyan, eh."

Hindi ba talaga sila titigil? Ako yung naiilang sa kanilang dalawa eh. They both looked at me and found I'm a bit uneasy about their conversation. Agad ngumisi ng nakakaloko si Janine kay Blake while he looked at me with a shy smile.

"Kayo talagang dalawa, oh. Kung mag-usap kayo parang wala ako dito, ah." Nakangusong sabi ko sa kanila.

"Hala, Blake, nagtampo pa yata si Hope sayo." Nang-iinis na wika ni Janine sabay belat kay Blake. Ang cute talaga ni Janine, parang bata din kung umasta minsan. I often saw myself in her because of her childish acts.

Upon hearing what she said, Blake abruptly looked at me and scanned my face. Nailang pa ako dahil sa tagal niyang pagtitig sa akin.

"Are you upset, baby?" Masuyo niyang tanong.

"No, I'm not. Nakakatuwa nga kayo, eh." Nakangiti kong sagot at napa-pout din pagkaraan.

"Really? You look so cute when you pout, baby." He said while looking intently at me. "But stop that pout, I might kiss you right now. And I know I still don't have the right to do so." He whispered the last two sentences and I swear, if he said it out loud, I might die out of embarassment.

"Uyy, ano na namang binubulong mo kay Hope diyan? Bakit nagmumukhang mansanas na yan?" Janine's comment made me blush even more.

"It's a secret, couz. Just for the both of us." He winked at his cousin.

The whole class became silent when our professor entered the room. She is our teacher in this General Economics subject.

"Okay class, prepare for a short quiz." My teacher said sternly. Isa siya sa mga instructor na medyo istrikto, pero napakagaling naman magturo.
