Kissing my delicate neck, Dark lifted me from the talll and frightening horse. "Dark, I could get down myself."
"I'm the man here. Its my duty to treat you like a lady."
"Iget enough of that at the castle..." I sighed. Everyone treated me like a small rosebud,as if I'd break at the gentlest touch. Annoying was the only proper word to describe the feeling.
"well, I'll be treating you tonight."
As the final glimmer of sunlight kissed the horizon, we walked through the dark marketplace, glares from all of the citizens found their way to me.
"ignore them, they aren't used to women of the light here."
Women of the light? I thought.
Either way, dark took me to his castle and settled me in.
"Welcome to your new home." He kissed my cheek and leaned into my ear. His hot breath tickled. "I hope well have fun here." And oh, I couldn't help but hope so too.
