Heidi's POV
I walked into the Station and was bombarded by Momo, "Hiya Heidi! How are you?!" He asked, I chuckled "I'm good, how are you Momo?" I ask as I made my way to my desk, "I'm good! Thanks for asking!" He said, "Momo! I'm so sorry Heidi" Nitori said as he came over to drag Momo away, I chuckled, "It's no problem Nitori. If he didn't do it every morning, it wouldn't feel right" I say, "Heidi likes me" Momo said before running away, Nitori face palmed "How many cups of coffee has he had?" Sousuke asked from behind me, I spun around to face him, "None. He's just said hello to me" I say, he shook his head before going over to the notice board and pinning up the list of the partners for the next weeks.

"You're no fun anymore Sousuke" I whine, he raised an eyebrow before spinning me around on my chair making me laugh and squeal, he stopped it and smiled as I tried to stand up, "Screw it I'm staying here until I undizzy" I say making him shake his head, "Lieutenant Yamazaki!" Rin yelled, "Captain?" He asked as Rin came over, "Care to explain why you have paired me up with Officer Jones?" Rin asked, my jaw dropped "You did what now?!" I snapped as I stood up, "You know I work better solo" I growled, "One of the higher ups told me to pair you up with someone, Rin. Heidi, was the only spare officer that I thought you could get along with" he explained, I glared at him, "Which higher up?" Rin asked, "I'm afraid that's confidential" he said before returning to his office, "Remind me to beat his arse when we get off duty" I say as we headed to the car, "Remind me to remind you to get in line" he said as he got in the drivers seat.

Rin's POV
We was driving around when Heidi muttered something, "Pull over" she said, I did so and she got out slamming the door before going over to a man and they began arguing, I stopped the engine and got out "Baby please, I'm sorry" the man said before Heidi punched him "Don't call me baby" she growled before storming back over to the car, "Let's go" she growled, I nodded before climbing back in, starting the engine and setting off again, she punched the dashboard "Fuck" she said before resting her arms on her knees, "Would you like to talk about it?" I asked, she stayed silent for a moment before sighing "That guy was my boyfriend of 4years and he's been cheating on me for the past 2years with some woman from his work" she explained, I nodded "So...what's happening to your house?" I asked, "He's having it. I'm gonna pick my stuff up after this shift and go back to my parents or to my brothers, doesn't matter which since they'll both say 'I told you'" she said, "I have a spare room at my place if you want it?" I offered without thinking, she raised an eyebrow "Live with you and Sousuke?" She asked, I nodded "I'll think of it" she said making me smile.

Heidi's POV
"Unit 6 we need back up" Someone said through the radio, "This is Unit 6, what's your location?" I asked, "25th street-" they said before it cut off, Rin put the sirens and lights on before we sped up to 25th street, we stopped and got out to here gunfire inside the building, "Have you got a clear head?" Rin asked, I scoffed "I don't allow my personal issues mess with my work" I say pulling out my gun and entering the building along side him, we got closer to the gunfire and saw Nitori and Momo in cover while the attackers shot at them, "Rin, Heidi" Momo smiled, I shook my head and mentioned him to be quiet, "We're out of ammunition" Nitori whispered, I sighed handing my gun to Rin "Keep them distracted" I ordered before going to leave but he grabbed my arm, "Where do you think you're going?" He growled, I smirked and pulled my arm out his grip and going around the back of the attackers, one had their back to me making me shake my head at how stupid they were.

I got them into a neck hold and used their gun to shoot at the others as well as using their body as a shield, I dropped their body and got into cover before shooting at them, I ran out of ammunition making me curse, they was a chuckle then footsteps approached me, "You're out of ammo and have no where to go" they called out, I scoffed "Well I've not had a good day, so how about you put down the gun and allow yourself to be arrested" I say, they laughed until they stopped just before my cover, I sighed and used the gun in my hand as a bat as I jumped over my cover and hitting them around the head before repetitively hitting them, "Heidi enough" Rin said as the three of them ran over to me, I continued to hit them before Rin removed the gun and picked me up "Nitori, Momo arrest them then get them treated for their head" He ordered and carried me out, he sat me on the bonnet of the car.

"What the hell was that?!" He yelled, I stayed quiet "I thought you didn't let your personal problems get in the way of work?" He asked having a small smirk, "Okay I admit, I went a little over the top because I was angry but at least we got them" I say, he smiled making me roll my eyes "Come on, let's get your stuff" he said getting into the car.
