gerard opened the door before pete could even knock a second time. he had bags under his eyes and he was shaking.

"where's frank?" patrick said, pushing by pete and walking up to gerard.

"out," gerard shrugged, sniffling.

"what do you mean 'out'?" pete asked.

"i don't know, he's just not... here." gerard shrugged and sniffles again.

it took forever to get gerard to sleep, he refused to even lie down for nearly half an hour. pete was pissed at frank, but patrick was just concerned. things hadn't been right since frank graduated. patrick didn't know if it was because of frank, but if it was, he needed to find out.

frank sighed, running a hand through his hair. he had been out of the house for so long. at first, he only went to pick up coffee for him and gerard, but then he decided he should buy something to cheer up his boy. but, unfortunately, he was just spending too long.

frank had been to at least for different stores, looking for something special. he kept trying to call gerard, but the calls weren't going through. frank knew he should go home, but he also knew gerard was probably sound asleep, no worries in the world.

at least, frank hoped.
