Chapter 12: Hilda's True Intentions

Carter Lafuente POV:

I was save by Hilda. The warlock who gave the curse to Sebastian Liam Reign. And the same woman who accompanied Arthur for taking revenge of Bash. I still remember how she helped me with the dragon. I was so weak and I couldn't move even the slightest parts of my body and its because of the magic spell Bash planted me. The dragon ready to blow me his big ball of fire when she appeared in front of me and before the big fire reached my place we disappeared right from the very eyes of the big wild dragon. It was too fast and I can't imagine how I woke up in that disaster!

"Why are you helping me?" She never spoke for a while but I know something in her mind wants to share something that would definitely change my view about some things. She prepared some herbs for me to drink. After that she gave me the herbs, I drink it without hesitation. I know it will help me regain my strength slowly. Good thing I can now move my hands freely but my lower part I can't feel them at all. How can I return to the south palace if I'm like this?! I want to regain my strength fast as I could so I can report the south palace about the plans of the emperor. But its useless now, I've been lying this bed for almost two weeks. And I can't do anything but to wait for my time until it healed.

"You have no right to interfere. This is not your battle. My son is lonely but I can't be the right person to make him happy." She said in low tone. Finally, she spoke something but I couldn't understand what she meant by that?
What she said? She looked at me in stout way which brings shiver down to my smallest part of my body.

"What are you saying? How can you curse your own son Hilda? What kind of mother are you to curse your own son?" I couldn't believe this revelation of her. She's facing back and forth, she's tense about something. And it seems her hiding something from me.

"That supposed to be my secret... I admit he is my son. My only son Cedric." She pauses for a while stimulating the things she will say. "Yes, I gave a curse to my one and only son, just because I want him to be save Cedric. You must understand that I need to do it to him. If I didn't, the demon will possess his body. And I couldn't accept it. I thought, when I let him live in the human world his destiny would change. But I was wrong, it turns out that demon followed him in the human world. And made him suffer more. I was helpless mother only thinking for the protection of my son Cedric. I didn't curse my son for no reasons, but I sealed the demon in there. I want the power of the demon lock in his body. So he would never destroy anything in this world."

"What are you saying?"

"This is the revelation you must know. His destiny is to give the demon a chance to live with his body and own him. I protected my son, just a mother would do with her child."

"How about the killings? Your son thirst for blood. He will kill virgins because of the curse you made by him Hilda?"

"What? What are you saying?" She said hysterically. She faces me and got startled about the things I said.

"Didn't you know? You are the responsible of the curse? Then why you don't know the consequence with that curse?"

"Cedric, I never do that kind of curse. I love my son very much and I couldn't do such thing to him Cedric. I only do is make him beast in an ugly form and killing is not part of it. Are you sure.... Couldn't be, the curse twisted by the demon!"

"What?"

"Yes. Once the demon sealed to his body. He twisted the curse making him even terrible." Hilda is so sure about that revelation. "The only way for him to set free from that curse is, If Bash learned to love truly then the beast can't control him anymore but if the devil reverses the curse which means he can also reverse the spell that I planted to him. And maybe... if Bash marries the wrong one, then the beast would take place his body. And its forever! No! Bash will be in trouble. Cedric you must help me fulfil that. He must find the right woman for him. Ah! I know, your sister."
