I sat at the round table with all my 'friends'. They were always nice to me but the majority of the time I tried to ignore them. I was bored because both Cecil and Lou Ellen were out with family for the break. "This is going to be the worst week of my life" I thought to myself as I picked at my mashed potatoes. "Hey Will! See that colored kid over there? I dare you throw food at him!" I heard a girl, MaryCathrine, yell to me. I looked around the room where I noticed a young boy with a slightly darker skin color than mine. He wasn't exactly what someone like MaryCathrine would call negro but he wasn't exactly white either. "Throw the food, Will! Or are you a color lover? Better yet a HOMO color lover! Ooooh if your dad finds out he'll disown you forever!!" MaryCatherine yelled at me. Everyone started laughing. I watched the boy try to clean the cafeteria room but he kept get kicked by kids sticking there feet out from under the table. "I-I can't hit him since kids are pushing him back and forth!" I said. "Simple fix." MaryCatherine stated. "GRAB HIM!" She yelled. Three kids sitting around stood up and held the kid's arms. "Now then, William, can you hit him? You know, you should stop going by such a negro name. My butler's name is Will." She said. "Maybe if you'd shut your mouth I could hit him. My name's fine!" MaryCatherine closed her mouth tight and then stared at the colored boy. I didn't want to do this. If anything I wanted to grab this kid's hand and take him somewhere safe, but I couldn't. I gave him a look saying 'I'm sorry'. I threw my potatoes at him hitting him in the face. I then threw my beans and pudding. Each time I hit him I could see a look of pain and fear in his eyes. After I cleaned off the plate of food on the boy a kid, Ethan, pushed him down. "What're you gonna say!?! You can't speak or you'll get a beaten!! I wanna see ya with blood on your face!!" The kid opened his mouth as if to say something. "If you say ANYTHING I'll get my father to kill your COLORED mother. Maybe then would you learn respect!!" Ethan then kicked him. Over and over. Before anything could continue I pushed him off and to the ground. My brain was in full beast mode. After a few punches and gasps from kids in the crowd I backed off. "He's human too!! Don't treat him like an animal!" I yelled at Ethan. I assumed it sounded weird to the colored kid, the guy who just threw food at him helped him. "Wait till I tell my father about this! You're father's going to be so mad at you!!" He yelled as tears fell from his face. "Your a piece of homo color loving crap!" He pushed me over and ran out as the kids ran after him to watch the drama.
The colored kid tried to stand up but he fell back down. I jumped down to help him. "Are you okay?? Oh lord your stomach!" I saw blood coming from his white shirt. I quickly unbuttoned it. 'A broken rib? Uhmm that looks bad. What do I do??' "Thank you for helping me." He whispered as if terrified to talk. He stood up and walked away a little bit. I stood up and followed him. "Please don't try to walk. Your stomach. You're hurt." I told him grabbing his wrist and softly turning him towards me. "It's nothing compared to other things. I can handle this alone." He started walking off a bit. "You don't have to handle this alone. What's your name?" I asked putting one of his arms over my shoulder. "I'm Nico, Nico DiAngelo." He mumbled, finally giving into my help. "I'm Will Solace. Also... I think you're skin colors really pretty." I told him. 'Smooth one Will I wonder if he's creeped out yet'. I stared at him as a small smile crossed his face. "Thank you."

I think I've broken more then five laws by loving this kid.
