I ran into Brandon and he frowned. “What’s wrong?”

Before I could answer Drake called my name. “Cody!"

“Drake!” Ally called. “Why in the hell did you leave me?”

“Oh,” Brandon said with a sigh.

“Damn it,” Zack and Jackson said in unison.

“Yeah,” I glared.

“Ally just wait a while will ya?” Drake muttered.

“No!” she stomped her foot.

“Look Ally, maybe you should go,” Zack said stepping in between Drake and Ally herself. “It’s not a good time.”

“Fine, I’ll leave.” She stomped on his foot with her heeled foot. Zack let a yelp out hopping on one foot as Ally left pulling out her cell probably to call for a ride.

“I hate high heels,” Zack growled. “Damn you Drake, you own me.”

“Sure whatever.” He was looking at me intently. “Cody can I talk to you?”

“Talk,” I growled.

“Alone,” he said.

“Fine.” I let him drag me away from the crowd. “What?”

“I know it might have looked bad but I assure you I tried to push her away,” he rushed.

“I know.” I sighed. “It’s looked like attempt of rape.”

“Then why were you mad?” He frowned confused.

“I don’t know,” I muttered.

“Is it maybe that you were jealous?” He grinned, I smacked his arm hard.

We heard Zack in the background. “She smacked, smacking is good, right?”

“Shut up you're loud,” Jackson growled in a hushed tone. “They’ll hear us.”

“Too late,” Brandon smirked, looking at us. “Just carry on, act like you didn’t hear that.”

“Okay.” Drake frowned. “That was awkward.”

“Yep, tell me about it.” I smiled.

“Do you even remotely like me?” Drake asked.

“There you go again ruining it with your honesty and big pressuring questions I avoid.” I grimaced.

“I’m sorry,” he said. “But sometimes it seems that you like me a lot but then others it seems like you hate me.”

“I don’t really know.” I looked at my feet as I chewed on the inside of my cheek merciless.

“I’m not asking for an answer right now I just wish we had one.” He wrapped an arm around me shoulders pulling me along. “How about you ride with me the way back?”

“Why not?” I followed easily. It was getting dark and I was tired, he drove slowly to my house as if not in any hurry to get there and when we did get there I was already half asleep and could hardly walk. He smiled as he picked me up bride-like and carried me to the door unlocking it with my keys and took me to my room where he lay me down locking the door and then sat by me brushing my cheek as I smiled pulling the blankets over me, he chuckled as he helped me cover myself and then I felt a brush of something on my forehead, that was the last I remember.

I got up around four in the morning, Jamie had been gone for an hour now and it was cold in my room I looked around there was no Drake. He was gone but the door remained locked there was no way he left through the door and left the door locked I felt a faint breeze then saw the open window. He’d left though the window so he didn’t unlock the door, the window was open an inch or two the he hadn’t been able to close from the outside. I sighed letting myself sink back into my pillows, but no matter what I couldn’t fall back asleep so I got up and wondered around the house hugging a pillow I had that my mother had given me when I was small it was the softest pillow ever.
