Have you ever moved? City Person moving to a small town? And it felt like the worst thing because not only are you moving across the country, you are moving to some remote town where everybody knows everybody and you will be treated like another species?

Yes, that is my current feeling. "Alexandria!" My mother snapped one of my first names. My full name was Alexandria Lilith Marie Briar Miranda Jane Grier, Alexandria Lilith Marie being my full first name. I was always a little on edge because my name was so long, but I have learned to stick with it. "Yes, mother?" I sighed, putting my head against the cold window.

"I asked you a question." The older woman replied to her daughter. "May you please repeat it, Mother? I was spacing out." I told the older woman, keeping my gaze on the rainy day in Forks. "I asked if you were excited to decorate your new room." Her mother told her, looking as her father drove serenely. "Very." I replied shortly, going back to the window watching.

Upon getting to their new house, it took a few minutes to get everything in the new house. It was a Victorian styled house with big white windows and dark paneling. I took the boxes marked with 'Alexandria' on them. "You have the attic to yourself, sweetheart. You are a senior this year, and I know you have all your artwork." My mother told her, going back to dusting some old photos.

I took all of the boxes upstairs to the attic, the top of the house. It was a faded brown color, but it would make a suitable room, since technically is the largest room in the house. Before I even opened a box, my mother called me downstairs. I saw my younger sister Adelaide pull her white blouse down farther, pushing her dark hair behind her ear. "Glad you heard me." My mother told me. "Of course she heard you mom. You only screamed at the top of your lungs." My sister commented, going back to her room. My mother just rolled her eyes at her second oldest daughter.

"Anyways, I heard that the Chief's daughter is starting on Monday too. Maybe you could be friends with her." My mother suggested. I only shrugged. "Maybe." Was all I said before going back to my room.

It had taken me at least four hours to get everything where I wanted it to be. My light source was a medium wall light that hung in the center of my room and wall Christmas lights that I strung on the walls of the attic. They were all white and looking like stars. I had a bed pushed against my wall, a desk on the left, my dresser near the doorway to the stairs, a bookcase, and space for my artwork and photos. Was this heaven?

It was currently 11:47 at night. In two days I would start school. Yay? I changed into a white tank top and grey shorts, putting my long dark brown hair in a ponytail and laying in my cold bed. I just couldn't fall asleep though. Everything that happened. Everything that might happen. It was all too much to think about. But I fell asleep at some point, pulling myself into a memory nightmare.

I ran through the woods. Blood was on my hands. "Alexandria!" A deep voice growled as I ran. Twigs and branches slashed everywhere, some drawing blood. My dress was dirty and I smelled like death. "Alexandria!" The voice got louder. I tripped over a fallen branch, trying to quickly pull myself up as I beGan to limp-run. "I'm gonna find you, girl!" The man bellowed. I could hear things snapping on the ground and a bullet cracking loud through the air as it hit a nearby tree. I screamed, not knowing where I even was or if I was close to help. The last thing I remember was falling to the ground, dirt swallowing my knees, as the bottom of a hunter's gun was brought hard against my head.

I woke up a crying mess, my face wet and my nose stuffy. "Alex?" I heard a small voice whisper. I looked to where my door was and saw Adelaide blinking at me with fear in her eyes. "Hey, Addy." I sniffled, pushing my palm over my face and just making my hands sticky. When it all happened, my baby sister Catalina wasn't born yet and Adelaide was a baby.

"I heard you from downstairs. Did you have another nightmare?" She asked me, walking slowly to my bed and sitting at the edge. "Yeah, but it's nothing to worry about. I'll be fine." I reassured her. "Do you want me to sleep on with you?" She asked, her hair draping kver her shoulders. "Yes." I said simply before pulling her under the cover. I slept soundly after that.

It was Monday morning. I had met Bella, the Chief's daughter yesterday when we went to her house to be good neighbors. She lived a few houses down, and we gave them apples. A bit old school, but that is how my mom is. Hence our names being something out of a history textbook. Bella offered to drive me to school, which I gladly accepted because I didn't have a car yet.

I got ready, quickly taking a shower doing my morning routine. I dressed in a casual outfit, putting on a grey sleeveless crop top, black skinny ripped jeans, black boots, and a long flannel shirt. "Alexandria! Isabella is here!" My mother yelled. It was still the morning, she was already making sure Taiwan could hear her.

I went down to the first floor and sighed, eating a piece of toast before I left. "And Mother," I said before I walked out, "Just call her Bella." I said before looking outside to see Bella's old red pick up truck. I walked to the passenger seat, putting the bag on the floor. It smelled faintly of laundry detergent and cigarette.

"What is up with the criss cross smells in here?" I asked. It didn't smell bad, but I have never smelled anything like it before. "My dad bought it from an old friend who used to smoke. I put detergent in the back seat to get the smell out." Bella told me, giving the road a small smile as she drove.

"Are you nervous?" She asked me, keeping her eyes on the road. "Hell yeah. Are you?" I asked her, keeping my eyes locked on my window again. "Of course." She replied. We made small chat during the ride before finally pulling into the Forks parking lot. It was separate buildings for separate departments, which I wasn't used to. Growing up in New York, I was used to one school building where everything was everywhere.

"Come on." Bella shook my arm as I was trapped in a day dream. Once we got out of the car, all eyes were on us. Just great. "Just keep your head low and pretend to talk to me." Bella told me as she turned her head down. "I'm not pretending if I am actually talking to you, Bella." I rolled my eyes sarcastically. I felt eyes on us as we walked into the school, being creeped out as usual which made me stick closer to Bella. Of course this is how you treat the new girls.
