Monday morning quickly came around. Alex was excited to see Jasper again. She hadn't talked to Bella since the date with Jasper. She actually hadn't talked to either of them since getting home from the doctor's office.
When Alex got up from her bed, she felt a pressure on the back of her neck. Her muscles ached a bit and her eyes were almost closed. She stumbled absentmindedly to the dresser in her room. It was like she was being guided there.
Alex fiddled with her jewelry box before touching the necklace that her father gave her. She looked down at it, a quiet sigh escaping her lips. The locket listened from the morning glow in her hands, the metal cold on her fingertips. She felt at peace for a moment. But only a moment.

Daphne wanted to drive Alex to school today, so Alex called Bella and told her not to pick her up. Matthew and Daphne shared a kiss before they went out the door, Adelaide getting ready for Matthew to take her to school. Catalina rode with her father.
Daphne kept her hands gripped on the steering wheel, her veins pulsing from her hands. Alex didn't feel like fiddling with her phone, so she just looked out of the passenger seat window. Her mother glanced at her before returning her stare to the road ahead of them.
"Alexandria, I know you don't want to talk about it, but I need to know something." Daphne said when they got to a red light. Alex looked at her mother before she slumped back into the car's leather seat. "What do you want to know?" She asked. Daphne took a breath.
"What did you see when you blacked out?" The older woman asked her daughter. Alex's breathing hitched. How was she supposed to tell her mother that she envisioned a dead psychiatrist was mentally torturing her? That's something you don't hear every day.
"N-nothing. I didn't see anything." Alex said quietly, pushing her hair behind her ear. Daphne rolled her eyes before persisting. "I know you saw something, Alexandria. I...I used to see things too. It will all make sense later on." Daphne said. Alex huffed before looking at her mother again.
"See? There you go again. You say these weird things with no explanation. It doesn't make any sense, Mom. Saying things like 'I used to see things too' and 'You two will be happy together' is weird. What do you mean when you say all of this?" Alex exclaimed, letting all of her feelings out. She hadn't even noticed that the car had started and stopped again. Or that they were in front of her school.
"We can talk about this later, sweetheart. I don't want you to be late. Your father is picking you up. I love you." Daphne said. Alex looked put the window. Bella's truck was there, and the Cullens were there too. Alex swore she heard her mother hold her breath when she looked at the Cullens. She got out of the car with her bag anyway.
Alex wore grey jeans and a black and red ringer shirt that said "Let's Summon Demons". The shirt had three cartoonish looking kids on it surrounded by candles. One of the kids was laying in the middle of a Satan circle. She forgot to bring her jacket today. 'It was right on the edge of my bed, too.' She thought.
Alex walked up to Bella, pulling her lighter and half empty box of cigarettes from her bag. "I'm keeping these in your car." Alex mumbled, putting the cigarettes and lighter in the glove compartment. "Good morning to you too." Bella mumbled.
The two girls started walking, Bella kind of steering them into the general direction of the Cullens. Alex shivered a bit at the breeze. The Cullens looked at the two as they walked past, but Jasper made a move. He gently grabbed Alex's arm before she had the chance to walk away. She flinched at first, but then when she saw it was Jasper, her eyes softened.
