Chapter 40: The Fight with a Soul Reaper Captain!!!

Kuroki's pov

I was running along the long hallway, trying to find Ichigo. A few soul reapers had been chasing after me for about an hour now, and I only kept running into more of them. "You bastards are too persistent! I don't have time for you guys right now!!" I kicked a few more of them back, when I saw the ice. "It's Captain Hitsuguya!" A soul reaper shouted and I froze in place, this was not going to be great. "Not him. Anyone, but that short white haired blue eyed cutie." I thought to myself, "What's going on here?" I heard his voice, come from behind another soul reaper. "Time to run." I started running only to be stopped by him, Captain Toshiro Hitsuguya himself. "Well, it seems my men have found you again. And this time no more excuses and disguises." He said, putting his hand on the hilt of his sword. "Well, this isn't exactly good at all. See I'm only trying to get to my brother, who's fighting the deadliest captain out of all captains there are. So I'd-" he attacked me and I grabbed Yuki, dodging his sword.

"You are a ryoka. I've had so much trouble trying to find you and now one of our Captains' is dead. Not only that, but we now lost two of our best reapers in squad 13 and another ryoka has appeared. This ryoka showed up when you did." He backed off, "I don't know that person. I only know the people I've been with." I said, but he sighed as though he didn't believe me.

"You need to tell the truth," I gave him a look of disbelief, "I am telling the truth. I don't know this other person, you are talking about. Now you need to get out of my way, I have to find my brother." I said, standing in the same stance Ichigo usually took on. "And I need to find the answers." He said, "Get out of my way!" I charged at him and we clashed swords, the winds direction changed. "Think fast, what do I do? I have to get away from him." I looked around away from him, trying to find what to do to slip away from him.

"Trying to find a way out, are we?" He asked, "No, not really." I jumped away from him, "Reign over the frosted heavens, Hiyorinmaru!" He yelled, "Kawakaze Tachikaze, Fuyuki!!" Our attacks collided but we both didn't seem injured, those around us were.

"Is that you're only trick, Shiro?" I smirked, as I panted heavily. "What did you just call me?" An irk mark appeared on his forehead, "I called you Shiro, shorty." I teased and he started shaking in anger. "Oops struck a nerve, did I?" I got into a defensive stance, "That's enough playing around. Reign over the frosted heavens, Hiyorinmaru!" He sent this big dragon like ice attack towards me, "Tsumetai shimo!" I sent an attack back at him, "You aren't getting away, Kuroki!" I heard him call my name and I got irritated with him. I charged at him head on and kicked him in the stomach, making him slid back a little. "I hate being called by my first name. Korudo Danmaku!!" I attacked him, but he was able to block every move I made against him.

"I'm going to defeat you, I'm not letting you defeat me I have to find Ichigo." I stood back, panting heavily. After we went head on, our swords were constantly clashing and he would throw his kido blasts my way. So I decided to try a kido blast myself, "Hado #33 Sokatsui." I blasted spirit energy at him and he blocked it. "How did she do that?" A soul reaper asked, "That was cool." I said, proud of myself. "Well, I certainly can see you can do kido. But that will change soon. Hado #4 Byakuri!" He shouted, but I dodged it. "Hado #31 Shakkaho!" I couldn't dodge it in time, and was sent flying back. I hit the wall of the building, "You... Ryoka stand no chance up against the captains." He said, coming out from the smoke and got closer to me. As he stood in front of me, I smirked with my sword wrapped tightly in my hand.

"What are you smirking about Ryoka?" Toshiro looked at me sternly.

"Kori Ame!" Shards of ice rained down, scratching him up and some other soul reapers.

"You seem like a worthy opponent." He slid back, blocking the shards of ice raining down.

"Well, I was trained by the best." I pushed myself up from against the wall and stood up tall. My orange hair fell in my face, "Hold on, gotta tie my hair up." I put Yuki in his hilt and grabbed my hair tie from out of my pocket. "Really? You're really gonna do that now? In the middle of a fight?" He got irritated, "Well yeah, the main reason being is my hair is one of the things that keeps me smiling. So if anyone should cut it, I will destroy them with my bare hands." I tied my hair up in a ponytail, "There, I'm all done. See that-" He charged at me and I put my hand on Yuki's hilt.

"Kawakaze Tachikaze, Fuyuki." I pulled him out hurdling his attack at Toshiro, who dodged it.

I ducked quickly as his sword came closer to my face, I swung around round house kicking him sending him into another building. "Hado #1 Sho!" I got hit with another kido blast and hit the building again, breaking through the wall. I slowly sat up, noticing I was in a building again. "Ouch," I felt liquid falling down my face and touched my temple. When I removed my hand, I saw red liquid. "Blood. Damn it, this means war." I stood up slowly and walked through the hole in the wall. But when I looked at Toshiro, I froze.

"Bankai! Daiguren Hyorinmaru!" He sent an attack at me and I blocked it with Yuki. "I can't hold this for long, what do I do?" I pushed forward, "Use it." Yuki's voice rang in my head, "Use what?" I asked, "The sheath." I gave off the impression that he wasn't telling me something important. "Why? Why should I use the sheath, what would it do for me?" I asked with suspicion, "Just use it. Call out to it." His voice disappeared from my head, "Yuki?" I was starting to be overwhelmed, "Come to me, Haiperion no bakudan!" The sheath flew to my free hand and glowed a bright blue color, I put the sheath in front of me next to Yuki's blade and they both glowed brightly. "What is this?" I asked, "It's your new technique." Yuki's voice rang out, "Tsumetai chirā!" I yelled and I was blinded by a white light. There was a big explosion, sending me hurdling back into the previous building I was in before. I heard many soul reapers yell out as the explosion turned destructive. I stood up, stepping out of the building and stood there frozen in shock. Toshiro was still standing, there were small scratches on him but he was still standing. This could be a problem.

Meanwhile.....

Ichigo desperately tries to cut Kenpachi, to get him down for good but he misses. Kenpachi slashes at Ichigo and Zangetsu breaks in half, Ichigo desperately deals with Zangetsu in his inner world as he struggles to defeat Kenpachi. Zangetsu takes it upon himself to turn into his human form, and steps in front of ichigo.

"Ichigo is in trouble." I could feel his spiritual pressure beginning to drop, which distracted me because I was worried. "Where are you going, Kuroki?" Toshiro stopped me in my tracks, "To find my brother. And don't call me Kuroki, it is Kuro." I said in complete seriousness, "You aren't going anywhere, Kuroki." We clashed swords and continued taking shots and dodging blasts.
