3rd person's pov
Ichigo, Renji, Rei and Yukio arrive at a large cavern, coming across Yumichika, who was severely injured. Ichigo looked behind him, becoming aware of the eye-ball creatures that were following behind the two, "Damn, they must have been following us the whole time." Renji muttered, "Guess we're just going to have to take them on then." Ichigo and Renji both start to attack the creatures, but are unable to get past them to get to Yumichika. Even the twins were having trouble getting through the creatures, they were worried for Yumichika's current state. Meanwhile, Ugaki is preparing to unleash what he calls "The true Gesell". By casting shadows on five large pillars, Ugaki brings forth a giant monster with no eyes and a large mouth. It grabs Yumichika's body and throws it across the room, but Renji quickly rushes forward to catch him. "Yumichika," Renji called out to his friend, "I can't possibly go back to my captain after being defeated like this." Yumichika said, making Renji nod. Rei looked to Yumichika, nodding as he understood what Yumichika was thinking. He then looked over at Ichigo, knowing what he was about to say might really be idiotic. "Ichigo, I know that this is really an idiotic idea.. But I want you to listen me.." Ichigo gave Renji a look, trying to figure out what Renji was about to say to him. "I know, Kuro is going to kill me for this.. But I want you to leave that doll to me." Renji said, making Yumichika and Ichigo look at him like he was crazy. Rei and Yukio looked just as shocked as Ichigo and Yumichika did, they both knew that Kuroki was going to throw a fit if she found out.
"Defeat and Death go together, I feel like I have something to prove because I failed to protect that child."
"I understand, Renji. But Kuroki is going to kill me if she finds out I agreed to let you do this on your own." Ichigo sighed, he then shivered as he thought of what his sister could do to him. "Oh man, she'll really kill me if you get injured and I'm not here to keep you from dying." He freaked, "Yeah, she might just kill you both." Yukio spoke up, "You know she will, Renji." Rei raised an eyebrow, shaking his head but he didn't stop Renji. With this, Renji releases his bankai. Ugaki arms Gesell with axes, in which he uses to attack him, but Renji is able to use Zabimaru's bone segments to negate the attack. Ugaki decides to make Gesell disappear, which made Rei and Yukio both become more alert as Gesell hid in the shadows. He pops out suddenly, attacking Renji before he can react. "Renji!" Yukio shouted, Ugaki takes notice that Nemu has contacted Uryu, which he reports to Kariya. He brings out Gesell again, preparing to kill Renji and the others. However, Renji managed to separate all the segments of Zabimaru and sends them crashing into Gesell, piercing his skin. Gesell starts going berserk and the room around Ugaki starts to crumble, causing Yukio to panic. In a final message, Kariya tells Ugaki good work and then farewell. A raging Gesell then turns on its master and crushes Ugaki's body, when Ugaki dies, Gesell disappears in an explosion.
"Look out!" Rei quickly grabbed onto Ichigo and his brother, moving out of the way as a large piece of debris falls down. With the group separated, Ichigo and Rei found themselves in a room which was heavily populated with Kariya and the other bounts.
"It wasn't right that you abandoned your friends for your plan." Ichigo said, looking to Kariya as Rei stood alert next to Ichigo. "See that wasn't exactly my plan. Our schedule merely just got rushed." When another bount mentions preparations for leaving the world of the living, Ichigo and Rei remember how Kariya wanted to connect Hueco Mundo with his world, "You and Aizen have similar goals." Ichigo stated, staring at Kariya. But Kariya doesn't reply and instead tells the other Bounts to get ready for leaving. Koga starts reciting an enchantment, summoning a senkaimon, which worried Ichigo Rei. Elsewhere, Yukio, Yumichika and Renji are all recovering from what had just happened earlier.
"Damn, we lost Rei and Ichigo." Renji muttered, "They'll be okay... I just know it.. Rei and Ichigo have each other's backs." Yumichika said, looking to Yukio. "What if they ran into Kariya and the other Bounts?" Yukio panicked, he hated being away from his twin. It always made him very cautious, but overwhelmed.
"They'll be fine. They are together and have each other's backs. Ichigo won't let anything bad happen to Rei and Rei won't let anything happen to Ichigo. They will be fine, Yukio. Don't worry." Renji reassured, Yukio looked to Renji and nodded, hoping that he was right.
Ichigo charges at Kariya, but he's able to stop a slash with his arm. "That can't be good. He's stronger now, probably from the amount of humans he's killed." Rei thought as he watched Ichigo and Kariya's fight closely, Kariya pulls Ichigo in and hits him in the forehead, which sent Ichigo tumbling across the room. Kariya then charges at Ichigo, but Rei quickly intervenes and manages to block Kariya from Ichigo. This gives Ichigo time to get to his feet, just as Kariya sent Rei flying backwards. Kariya charges at Ichigo again, as a bloodied Ichigo tries to stab him but once Kariya stops him with just two fingers. Kariya then plunges his hand into Ichigo's stomach, following this up with two kicks, one sends Ichigo airborne and the next send him into a flight of stairs. Rei gets back up on his feet, feeling a little conflicted but shook it off and charges at Kariya again. Kariya dodged Rei, trying to punch him in the gut but Rei dodges him. He manages to land a punch on Kariya, but it has no effect. Kariya lands a hard gut punch to Rei's stomach, causing him to spit up some blood. This sent Rei flying backwards, hitting the wall behind Ichigo.
"Why didn't you use your bankai?" Kariya asked, looking unhappy. "I know you and your sister are the only ones who can initiate bankai without any limits on your powers." Kariya stated, as Ichigo tried to reach for his zanpakuto but he is too injured to do so. "What's your real plan, Kariya?" Rei asked, finally managing to sit up on his own.
"We're not aiming at Hueco Mundo to take revenge, but rather the Soul Society. They are the real target and I will get my revenge." Kariya explained, leaving Rei and Ichigo completely shocked.
