More shuttles attempted to head down toward the imperial base to deliver fresh troops and supplies but they all were shot down by Gryphon Squadron X-wings. Thrawn walked into the bridge on his star destroyer and looks at the officer.

"You called me?" He asks.

"Yes Grand Admiral. We picked up this transmission from a squad sent out to search for Captain Slavin." The officer says and presses a button and a hologram appears.

"This is- stzzzzzzzt -ad! We were sent to look for Captain Slavin but we didn't find him! Instead we found these -zzzzzzttzcc -ahhh! What the hell are these things!" The trooper yells.

"There's too many! Aieeee!" Another screams.

"Help! Help!" Another begs.

"Send help! We need reinfor-ACK!" Ye trooper yells as he's impaled by a large sharp object.

The hologram disappears and the officer looks at Thrawn. Thrawn looks back at him.

"I will have a squad go check that out. Assuming we can get any to the planet without being shot down." Thrawn says and walks off.

"Yes sir..." the officer says.

The engineer and the Pantoran worker, Ranto, were walking around the halls of the star destroyer and they walk toward Thrawn. Thrawn reaches out and grab's the engineer by his collar and scowls at him. The engineer looks at him in slight fear before Thrawn releases him and brushes his uniform off.

"Terribly sorry about that. I do however have bad news for you. It would appear as if my concerns were for good reason." Thrawn tells him.

"What do you mean?" The engineer asks.

"Project Xeno has gotten out. It has attacked a squad of Stormtroopers who were sent to the facility to search for survivors. I want you to take a team down there and check it out." Thrawn tells the engineer.

"Yes sir." The engineer says.

Thrawn nods and walks back off down the hall. The engineer turns to Ranto and motions for him to follow him. They finally make it into the hangar where a squad of 6 Dark clad soldiers with green lights on their helmets stood. They were called Death Troopers. They were what became of the shut down Dark Trooper project and were named after Blackwing. The engineer and Ranto both had SE-14Cs bolstered on their sides. They walk aboard the shuttle and they head down toward the planet. They fortunately aren't shot down and head toward the distress call from the overwhelmed Stormtroopers. They all exit the shuttle and look around. They find the bodies of the 10 Stormtroopers and the lieutenant.

"Look. Acid." Ranto says and points to a few spots in the ground where drops of acid were leading away.

"A few were injured..." the engineer says and he looks back down at the Stormtroopers.

"Most of them were impaled. A few had a chunks bitten out of their heads. Whatever happened to them, it was bloody." Ranto says as he looks at the bloody ground around the Stormtroopers and officer.

"You're right." The engineer says and rolls a Stormtrooper onto his back.

There was a massive hole in his head. He rolls another over and finds the same thing. He then rolls the officer over and looks at the massive hole in his torso from being impaled.

"Well...there's nothing else here. Let's get going" the engineer says and they walk back k to the shuttle.

It lifts off and heads back toward the base.
