Running (Thomas x Reader)

I thought you were my friend!

By the looked on Gally's face he wasn't planning to let it go. You sighed softly before looking to Thomas and then over to Newt. "We really don't have time for this" you said as you took Thomas's hand once again and walked passed Gally. "This is far from over!" Gally shouted. "Sure it is" You called back as you looked to the device. Thomas was already looking it over. "What do you think the numbers mean?" you asked him. He lightly gave your hand a squeeze, before he began to lead you towards the hut where the model of the maze was keep.

Once there he walked over to the model, his eyes seemed to be looking it over. Almost as if something was missing from it, but it was then you saw a soft smile form on his lips. "Hey what is it?" you asked as you walked over to where he was looking. "I think I've just found away out of here" he said as he leaned forward. "You see every section of the maze is numbered and open as well as close in a regular sequence" he said softly. "I think with this device corresponds with a section within the maze. We find it then maybe we can get out of here." Thomas smiled warmly. Your heart raced in excitement, in the short time you had been there. All you really wanted to do was get out and here was a chance. "Your a genius" you said cupping his face and kissed his lips. You pulled back from him and smiled softly, it took a few seconds for you to fully taken in that you had kissed him.

Your cheeks turned a soft shade of red as you looked towards him. You wondered what he was thinking but your answer was soon clearly given to you. Thomas leaned in towards you, cupping your face in his hands like you had seconds before. You couldn't help but close the small gap between you both. His lips softly pressed against yours as he moved a hand from you cheek and onto your back, he used this to draw you in closer. A soft gasp escaped your lips as your cheeks turned a deeper shade of red. You couldn't help but enjoy the warmth of Thomas's lips against your own. Just as you were about to deepen the kiss, a cough could be heard from behind you both. You pulled back quickly and took back to see Newt. "Well if your both done, we have a problem" he said. You looked to Thomas and could see his cheeks were already a soft red. "What's wrong?" you asked as your turned looked back towards Newt. "The girl is awake" Newt said. "She climbed up the watch tower and is throwing things at anyone who comes near her. She's asking for Thomas" You felt your heart sinking hearing that she was wake.

It wasn't that you hated her, you were more curious as to why she was to talking alone with Thomas in what you had seen before. "We best go get her down before she hurts herself or someone else" You said as you began to head out of the hut. " Stay away from you" you could hear her scream as the three of you headed on over. "Be careful" You told Thomas before he began to climb up the ladder. You really didn't like the idea of him going up there but if it would calm her. Then you had very little say in the matter.

*Flashback*

You ran down the hallway, you had just opened the door in on of the maze, this was so the group there could escape. Yes it was foolish of you, but you couldn't bare to watch them died at the hands of the Grievers. It would of been the 3rd group you had seen died, if you hadn't of stepped in they would add to the already grow death count. Soldiers could be heard running behind you, just as you went to run on. You felt someone grab your hand and pulled you to the side. You blinked and looked a little wide eyed when you saw it was non other than Teresa. "Let me go" You snapped at her. "Y/N I want to help" Teresa said, everything about her told you not to trust her. But with Thomas still missing, you had very little choice.

"Fine" you said softly as Teresa speedy began to lead you down another hallway, all the time you were keeping your eyes out for any of the solders. You know if she was caught with you, she would be in just as much trouble as you were. As you turned another corner your eyes fell on the exit but Teresa walked pasted it. "Hey the way out is just where?" you whispered as you lightly grabbed her hand. She looked back towards you. "Y/N it's safe this way" Teresa said looking back to the way she had been heading. You brushed some hair from out of your eyes as you left her hand go. "Alright. I trust you" you said softly as Teresa began to lead the way. But just as you walked though the next lot of double doors, you were grabbed. "Get off me!" you shouted. "Teresa help me!" she turned around to face you once again and a soft smile was across her lips. "Wicked is good" she said. "I thought you were my friend!" you shouted at her. It was then you felt a Sharpe pain in the back of your head and everything went black.

*End of flashback*

You looked around once you were back, you felt angry. Angry with what you saw and also angry as you were unsure if it was real or not. "I need air" you said before you began to walk away from the tower. Leaving getting Teresa down to Thomas. You needed to calm down and get yourself together.
