(Y/N POV)
After digging through a griever, you had managed to pull out a device. It was just like the one you had found before. You smiled to yourself, because now soon you would be with Thomas. As you made your way over to the doors, you began to look over the device. Wondering to yourself how did Teresa manage to open the doors. There was still something about her that told you couldn't trust her, but you still were not sure completely as to why. Once at the door, you began to get to work at getting it open.
(Thomas's POV)
No one had said a word, as I sat there on the floor quietly sobbing. I held Chuck tightly against myself. Almost as if to will him back to life, but even I knew that was impossible. I soon gently laid him down on the floor, I didn't dare looking at his shirt. I already knew that it was covered in his blood. I looked up and my eyes met with Teresa's, at least she was still alive. Bits and pieces were still coming back to me, about my time before the maze. Like how Y/N and Teresa had always been there. Teresa placed her hand out towards me, I quickly wiped my face before I reached up and taking hold of her hand. I got to my feet and sighed softly. Even now as I stood back on my feet, i didn't dare let go of her hand and it seemed she didn't want to let mine go either. I knew from now on, I had to keep going, it's what Chuck and Y/N would of wanted. To get everyone out of here, away from this place and to somewhere we'd finally be safe. The silence was finally broken by the woman from WICKED. "All things happen for a purpose" she said in her almost robotic sounding voice. "You need to understand this" It was then I felt a light breeze, it only happened for a moment before it past. I sighed, thinking nothing much of it.
(Y/N POV)
You couldn't help but laugh a little when the doors finally opened. "Don't need this anymore" you muttered, as you throw the device over your shoulder before walking in. You had no idea what was there awaiting you. When the doors closed it, was hard to see. There was barely much light, only the light that seem to come from ahead. You walk slowly, making sure you didn't trip over anything that could be in your path. It was when you heard a female voice that you stopped. It took you a second or two to work out that it wasn't Teresa. You took a deep breath in, before you continued on.
As you reached the well lit room, you couldn't help but smile as you saw Thomas. His back was towards you but you knew it was him. You were about to say something, but stopped in your tracks as you felt yourself step into something wet. You looked down to see just what it was and your heart sank. There laying there on the floor was Chuck's lifeless body. Tears began to well in your eyes, as you knelt down. You reached forward and touched his cheek lightly. "Oh Chuck" you whispered as tears began to roll freely down your cheeks. He was cold to the touch, how long had it taken you to get in there. The pain you had been feeling throughout your body was nothing. Now you just felt numb. Part of you was happy to be back with the others but here was Chuck. He had been someone who had been really nice to you from the moment you appeared in the Glade. He'd happily greet you each morning and would welcome you home, after you had a long day in the maze. "Thank you for everything, goodbye Chuck" you whispered.
The woman who stood before everyone, let out a gasp as she saw you. It was then Thomas finally turned around. His eyes widen as they fell on you. You wiped your face, the last thing you wanted Thomas to saw was you crying. You looked up and tried to smile to him, as you got back onto your feet. He rushed over and pulled you into a hug. "Y/N" he said over and over again. Holding you tight against his chest. "I'm sorry I kept you waiting" you said softly. You felt his lips press against your forehead, you closed you eyes as your cheeks slowly turned a soft shade of pink. "Never leave my side again" Thomas muttered before lifting your head up. Your eyes looked up into his, his eyes were somewhat bloodshot. You knew why, him of all people would of cried for the lose of Chuck and even right now as much as you wanted to cry. At least one of you needed to be strong, you knew that you were not safe yet. Thomas without another word leaned forward and softly kissed your lips. You stood there in his arms enjoying the moment, his warm lips upon your own.
Just as you were about to deeper the kiss, it's when a series of screams could be heard. You pulled your lips back licking them a little, as you felt Thomas take your hand. Both of you slightly red faced. The woman before you, seemed to of gone pale. Almost a ghost white in colour, as she turned to look behind herself. Your eyes followed hers toward the entrance to see a group of people heading your way. There were several men and woman in dressed in grimy jeans and soaking-wet coats burst though the entrance. Each had a weapon raised, as they yelled and shouted, you couldn't make out a word of what they were saying.
(Thomas's POV)
I heard the woman gasp and wondered just what made her do so. I looked back behind myself to see Y/N. My heart began to race as without another word, I found myself rushing forward and brought her into my arms. I need to check that she was real that she was actually there before me. "Y/N" I said, I said it again, it felt good to say her name again. I had thought it would be a name that would never leave my lips. held her tightly against myself, in fear that she was just a lovely dream and any moment, I would wake up and she would be gone again. "I'm sorry I kept you waiting" I heard her say, before I pressed my lips to her forehead. She was real, she was really there in my arms. "Never leave my side again" I told her, I meant it when I said that. I never wanted to be parted from her. I put a hand under her chin and lifted her head up. I was so glad to be able to look into her eyes once again, I couldn't waste this moment and kissed her. her lips tasted so sweet against my own.
But the kiss was short lived, as the sound of screaming filled the air, I pulled my lips back but kept her close to me. My heart was racing as my eyes looked toward the entrance where the woman had come thought. It looked like we had company and they were armed. Two of the newcomers tackled the woman from WICKED to the floor. One of them, then took a step back and pulled out his gun. He took aim. "No way" I thought. flashes lit the air as several shots exploded from the gun slamming into the woman, killing her dead. I took a few steps back, bring Y/N with me.
