You sat down once back inside the hut where the model of the maze was. Your head felt like a full blown mess, it was getting harder to tell if what you keeped seeing was real or not. You placed your face in your hands as you began to think. Teresa couldn't be trust, that much you could be sure of. In your gut something told you there was something off with her, but then the question of who wicked were come into your mind.
As you though all this over you heard someone come in. "There you are" Thomas familiar voice said, you couldn't help but smile as you lifted your head up to look towards him. "Hey, sorry about running off like that." you said softly as he walked over and sat along side you. " Alby's awake" Thomas smiled towards you. You couldn't help but return the smile, hearing that Alby was awake was a load off your mind. "We need to go back into the maze" you finally said. Thomas nodded as he looked back to where he left the device.
"Y/N if this truly is the way out, promise me that we'll finally have that talk" he said softly. You laughed softly. "Of course we'll have the talk" she said before you nudged him. You got up and placed a hand out towards him. "Let's get our backsides moving" you said as he took your hand and got to his feet. Thomas made sure to grab the device, you both know you'd not get very far without it. You began to lead him out of the hut and towards the maze entrance. As you draw closer, you could see Minho. "How did you talk him into going back in?" you asked Thomas. "I didn't have to, he wanted to make up for last night" Thomas said.
You couldn't help but smile, at least you both were not alone in wanting to return to the maze. Minho nodded towards you once you got to the entrance, without a word shared between the three of you. The three off you all but took back off into the maze, Thomas of course leading the way. You really hoped Thomas's theory about the device was right.
As you ran, you couldn't help but keep your eyes out for grievers, sure they only seemed to show themselves at night. But after the events of last night when you were not meant to be in the maze, you had a feeling anything could happen. At once point Thomas seemed to slow down, he would look to the device and then to the numbers that were on the walls of the maze. "This way, I think we're almost there" Thomas smiled back towards you. You couldn't help but smile back, you felt almost excited about finding the way out.
You know you couldn't go the moment you found it, no you didn't want to leave the others behind. Even though you did really like the idea of just let Gally stay put in the glade. You could do without him shouting orders at everyone, that was for sure. It had been a good hour, you sighed as to take a break. You sighed as you went from running into a nice slow walk. It was never wise to sit in the maze as you never know when the walls would move. "Any closer?" you asked Thomas. Thomas looked towards you and smiled slightly. "I think so" he said before taking your hand softly into his own. "nervous?" you asked softly. "A little, I just want to get out of here. With you" Thomas said softly as he looked down towards you. You couldn't help but blush somewhat.
You were not sure what outside the maze would held for you but you know that you'd face it all with Thomas. "We should keep doing" Thomas said, you nodded as he let your hand ago and once again took off running. You smiled as you ran after him. All the time you saw Thomas was checking the walls of the maze as well as the device that he still held in hand.
It wasn't along until the three of you come cross a long concrete bridge, either sides of it was an endless drop into nothing. You couldn't help but look over the side, it looked so dark. It made you wondered what lived down there. "Come on Y/N" Thomas said warmly, he was smiling softly. Ahead of the three of you saw a wall but as you got closer it lifted it as did the three behind it. All had spaces between them. You smiled softly as you brushed some of your hair from out of your ways as finally you saw a around opening. It seemed locked until Thomas got closer to it. The device seemed to light up a little more the closer Thomas got to it. Once there it seemed to open up, you couldn't help but smile. Finally there was hope and a way out of this hell hole, you though to yourself. Thomas stepped closer to get a better look but as he did it close, the walls of the maze began to move. "RUN!" you shouted. As you race back the way you come, you could heard the walls that had lifted up before, slam down behind you. "I really don't want to die here!" you shouted.
You turned and began to race back the way you come, but you could see the way you come was already beginning to move and change. You know if you got stuck with it moving like this, it maybe days before you'd be able to find your way back out again. The walls began to split the three of you apart. "Keep running Y/N!" Thomas shouted over to you. You were to forcused trying to get to him, to answer him back. You were trying to get ahead of the moving wall so you could get to him. You really didn't fancy spending another night in the maze.
One night truly was enough for you. It was then you saw your opening, you put your heart and soul into running as you jumped across. Just barely missing the wall as it switched, you looked back and smiled to Thomas as the three of you began to make your way out and back to the Glade.
