It was heart- wrenching seeing the heart monitor go up and down. It was the only thing I could concentrate on. The only regular pattern. It was low but she was stable. Oli sat with my trying to keep my distracted. We had been there for about six hours and I was getting tired. I was cuddling up with Olli when I heard a loud beeping coming from the heart monitor. There was a line on the screen with small short irregular bumps in. Olli called a doctor whilst I stayed with mom. I was speaking to her the whole time, telling her not to give up. Multiple doctors and nurses rushed in and she was rolled away and I was left sobbing on the floor, holding onto her scarf. Olli sat with me for a while, not pressuring my to get up. We just sat and cuddled, thinking about what would happen to her.
